Everyone was sure our defence had the potential to be solid this year and it is. Everyone questioned where the goals would come from, the answer is everywhere. Top of the bloody league!

NOT Cardiff Match Fred any more. Move along, nothing to see here. on 17:04 - Aug 14 with 3097 views | dannyblue | Sounds like a really professional performance. One of the best things about both these two wins is that they haven't relied on genius or wonder goals. Instead they've been victories of hard work and good organisation. And that's something that can continue. Momentum so important in this division. Nice feeling.
NOT Cardiff Match Fred any more. Move along, nothing to see here. on 17:04 - Aug 14 with 3079 views | terryb | That is a good result. Well done my team! I think away to Barnsley will be a little bit tougher though. However, I don't think our defence will be easy to score against!

We've got players that can win penalties regularly now as well, which reminds me of Adel and Helgusson. Had loads of them that season we went up under NW.

Sorry Brian, my post read like a criticism of yours and wasn't intended as such. Just a comment on the new tactics, clever fouls & bullying were never our strong point, pleased to see we might be learning some new dark arts.

I hope very much to eat that humble pie. Not after only two games though! If this form continues until 2017 I will indeed enjoy being humbled!

NOT Cardiff Match Fred any more. Move along, nothing to see here. on 18:36 - Aug 14 with 2179 views | QPR_Nippon | Lovely! A win away and a chance to sing 'We're top of the league' again. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. First time I've seen us win away since Yeovil 3 years ago. Completely bossed the 2nd half but until the goal it was looking difficult to see how we were going to make the breakthrough. We weren't really creating clear cut chances and our passing needed a bit more zip. Cardiff clearly there for the taking but you wondered if we were brave enough to risk the point and take the game by the scruff of the neck. But we visibly grew in confidence and self belief after we'd got the first goal and were in complete control thereafter. Wonderful crossed free kick from Bidwell and Caulker's thumping header left Marshall no chance. Surprisingly little threat from the home team but Rangers should take a lot of credit for that. Caulker was immense and my clear MOM even before he scored.

NOT Cardiff Match Fred any more. Move along, nothing to see here. on 16:59 - Aug 14 by derbyhoop | The only downside was 4 bookings. Didn't sound like they were given for very much. |
According to Clive's ref preview, that ref averages 3 yellow cards a game: 'Linington got his season up and running with three yellows in Brighton's 4-0 home win against Colchester in the League Cup during the week. He finished last season with 74 yellows and four reds from 26 matches, with seven yellows at Wolves v Boro in the Championship easily his biggest single haul. Linington started the season before in harsh form, with four red cards in his first five games and five in his first ten. In the end he sent ten players off in 38 games last season, unusually high, while booking 107 — 2.815 yellows a game on average.' http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/43490/linington-tak [Post edited 14 Aug 2016 18:47]
