Real Wages are lower than they were 7 years ago and prices are growing twice as fast as wages currently are. Zero hour contracts is nearly at 1 million, I have a friend on one who hasn't had any work for 6 weeks with no holidays, no benefits and no redundancy either. All down to the tories and nobody else

I think people on benefits should be given food vouchers over money so they can't spend on booze and fags anyway.
Food bank use just like zero hrs are used with such hyperbole by the left. In relative terms they are a small fraction of the population. Just because you know Dai down the road using one doesn't mean every fecker under the sun is going.

"Probably" - great argument there. Not forgetting that Labour under Blair were the masters of statistical spin.
Zero hour contracts - a) introduced by, you guessed it, Labour; b) number of contracts is actually estimated between 1.3m and 2.2m; and most importantly c) only 32% of ZHC workers wanted more hours i.e. were unhappy with their contracts.
There will be plenty more unhappy people if the flexibility (and therefore attractiveness to both employer and employee) of these contracts is removed as they will either be out of a job or prices will rise for all of us. | | | |

If I had a zero hours contract and I had not been given any work for six weeks, I'd have likely started looking for a new or additional job a couple of days into that six week spell, rather than do absolutely nothing about it and blame somebody else. |  |
