That Telegraph write up is laughable.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Well, Ibrahim is cheap and we know Huw likes a bargain. I guess we'd only go for him if we knew we'd be without de Guzman and/or Ki next season.
I wouldn't mind seeing Zaha here on loan, and I've also seen that Everton would loan out Jelavic. Would he be better than Aspas?

Alvaro Periera of Inter Milan is being linked this morning.

A left sided player with plenty of pace who can play left wing as well as left back and formerly of Porto amongst others.

Poll: Are the owners doing enough for Swansea City

Although he will never play for us again, Leroy Lita returns from his loan spell at Brighton in January.
Assuming no one else will be foolish enough to take him, he will be a drain on wages for the rest of the season.

If you can fill the unforgiving minute. With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Better option than Vasquez...

It seems once you cross laudrup, you never play again. He seems absolutely ruthless in that respect.

Tim Cahill wants to join a Premier League club during the American ML off-season. He might be worth considering as a temporary solution if we can afford his salary. He scored 68 goals during his time with Everton, but that was over eight seasons.

Seem to recall Newcastle making 3 or 4 key signings this time last year (sissoko, mbiwa, gouffran, debuchy) to really help them push on in the second half of the season.. Hope Mick can find the right boys to help us do the same

Maybe the maxim-don't cut your nose off to spite your face=is appropriate.
Pride comes before a fall.

Frankly, Lita really would be better than VASQUEZ and quite how bad Donnellly must be begs the question as to why the feck we signed him in the first place.

I think that if Laudrup hasn't signed a player he's usually not interested in them

Maybe Rory should change his name to Ramon Donnello, even if he has two left feet he could get a game.

I'd be happy to have Lita on the bench. Not a premier league striker but quite frankly a better player than Vasquez.

I would like us to bring in atleast two new faces, a winger, Jefferson Montero maybe? Also a striker with different qualities, maybe Aspas who has a bit of pace about him on loan.

January Transfer Official Thread on 12:01 - Dec 30 with 30880 viewsFearOfAJackPlanet

I think we'll try to sign Aspas on loan, and if Liverpool knock us back, we'll look for a similar player who can play striker and out wide. Anyone from the MLS we can loan for a few months? Fulham got Clint Dempsey back for 2 months, there may be someone out there we can use during their close season.

It's not a good time to be making permanent signings, and with doubt over the manager staying after this season, a loan would be the best policy.

The other area ML has indicated he might strengthen is centre-half. He mentioned a few weeks ago that if Monk continues to struggle with injury he'll have to think about making a signing in January as we can't go to the end of the season with just Amat as back-up.

Enjoying the next level

"Moyes may be left in the lurch in left back search as Baines and Shaw set to stay put"
I'm putting 2 and 2 together to make 33 here but who is one of the best left backs in the Prem?
Could Taylor be on the move?

I remain unconvinced.

Looks good sometimes, but too often beats a man then does nothing with it. Think we need to be looking for better.

I like him ,he's not scared to take anyone one often beating them in the process ,not many in our team even attempt that sort of defence splitting action , and he's getting better by each game ,sign him up
