I am going to Granada just after Christmas and want to visit the Alhambra whilst I am there. I have been told that tickets are limited and I don't want to miss out. I went on their website and they helpfully have an English translation however it then sends you to Spanish Ticketmaster and then everything gets confusing.
To my limited brain it looks as if the tickets aren't on sale?
This is when it gets really difficult and using google translate seems to imply tickets aren't on sale? If anyone has a decent grasp of Spanish and could help I would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Very true, but I found Granada (province) gives more plentiful goodies.
My family is from the north of Spain where you get whatever they feel like giving you...anything from empanada and tortilla to some stale crisps with fag ash on them.

Be VERY careful with this website as it is easy to get confused and order the wrong thing. It happened to me a few years back when I tried to do the same thing.
I was pursued by the Spanish Police and Interpol for defaulting on my first monthly payment after this arrived.......
Alhambra is lovely, well worth the visit, pretty straight forwards to book, best done by phone and not as costly as you think. You can get away with just turning up this time of year but if it is your only opportunity probably wise to book. Get's you straight in too past the queues that are worst in August. Well worth visiting in the evening for fine views across the City as the sunsets. Just outside Alhambra, walking back into central, you will find Joe Strummer Plaza opposite the hand made Guitar shop, if you have any afinity to the Clash, Strummer wrote Spanish Bombs in the square apparently in the shade of the trees. It's a great city, 28 degrees today, plenty going on excellent food and wine. Spanish Beers are cr4p, I tend to stick to the Guiness or a good vino which still costs peanuts compared to UK. In Granada the people are generally decent, sophisticated and interested in visitors, haven't disappeared up their own tailpipes unlike Barcelona, and the women are effing gorgeous. Have fun.
Thinking about it speak to Jackie at www.costaalmeriatours.com She might book the tickets for you. She promotes my Photography Courses here across southern Spain.

Granada is one superb town. Re: Alhambra - if you are staying in a half-decent hotel then contact them in advance (ie. now) and get them to sort the entrance tickets. It's what we did and they charge a 10% fee which was amounted to a couple of quid from memory. The best hotel I've ever stayed in anywhere is a half an hour drive from Granada in the middle of nowhere - La Bobadilla. Would love to go back if i ever win the lottery.
Cheers lads. Sorted the tix and should be good. Going just after Xmas so as long as it is dry don't mind about the temperature too much. Did Seville last year and loved every second.
Btw going to Santiago De Compostela for two nights next March, any tips that tourists may not know about for stuff to do/food/drink?

Granada....the land of free grub.
Just order pretty much any drink in a bar (not water) and pick a "tapa" from the menu for free.
Yep this is pretty much how it is. Great place for a couple of days. The shops etc in the old part of the city are quite interesting too. Bars are on the whole decent and chilled out.
