Your right, my mistake, I take it we should however stop any more from entering the country?

Oh, and as for punish, you don't consider discrimination a punishment?

No you've read me wrong again, I'm asking if you are proposing discriminating against white males from a christian background, given that so many of them are being charge with sex crimes against minors?

Surely we can't let any more in until we've dealt with the current ones?

Today's headine from The Onion:-

“When will neo-Nazis learn that people of all colors and creeds can live side by side and still discriminate against each other?”

"If white christian immigrants are more likely to cause crime and other problems than people from other backgrounds then yes by all means limit them. That's what an immigration policy should be about, trying to get the best people who will fit in peacefully with those that are already here."

Sounds good, but you're discriminating against individuals based on their religion. Pretty sure that's contrary to International law.

No offense, Pommy. I understand that your mention of the Peace Women was an indicator to resolution, not a parallel to the NI situation.

Brian, this thread is a conga line of idiots, without you drawing a direct comparison to NI. (And I'm not decrying your experience there: I thank whatever life-determining entity that I didn't have to go through that.)

I beat Clive_Anderson on a charge of racism last night and he was up and running again within the hour. Some people you can't change.

What I think is morons on both sides want to make it an us and them situation.

The more people unfairly discriminate against another group of people based on race / religion then the more malcontents there will be in that group wanting retribution. What I think is that people like yourself are fanning the flames and are a part of the problem, not the solution.

As for question about about whether I have misgivings about the rise of Islam in the UK - the answer is yes I do, I have misgiving about the power and status of ALL religions in the UK, and so any one that is increasing in it's power base is by default a cause for extra concern. I don't believe in banning any of them or discriminating against any of them, the only way to combat it is through education. Unfortunately legislation in the UK continually finds in favour of faith schools, which in my view perpetuates the problem.

I remember reading something from Richard Dawkins once along the line of you would never label a young child a fascist child or a communist child, because we know that young children are too young to have made this sort of decision for themselves. Yet the world seems happy with the labels Muslim child or Christian child, implying that we are happy with what is in effect the brainwashing of the young and impressionable.

No I can honestly say I don't worry about Islam anymore than any other form of religion.

I've lived in London through the bombings by Christian terrorists, I'm now living through the mainly Muslim bomb threats. Hinuism and Buddism don't affect me directly in London, but Christianity pisses me off on a regular basis.

If you don't think Christianity is affecting your life look up the Lords Secular, and ponder how even after all the abuse scandals Christian morals are still held up as something to aspire to!
