because the match isnt even sold out yet and the club would be pouring money down the drain if it didnt give wednesday the whole end.

Cos teams in the Championship actually have fans unlike in the Prem where they'd rather watch Sky Sports

well we still have tickets left a few days before the game so we would never have sold out the lower school tier so its the right call by the club.

im not so sure as I think we would of sold them by the start of the game, the only reason their are tickets left is due to them being in the members zone so alot of ppl are unable to but tickets there whereas they would of been able in the school end, I can still see why the club did sell the whole of school end to sheff weds as mentioned before guarantees the money but still dont agree with it

You are correct R block they would have sold these tickets out to home fans , as for around a week the only tickets left for home fans have been either restricted view or as you say members only areas and some of those unable to buy unless you take kids in with you.
Still never mind as long as sheff weds kick towards a noisy 3100 mob at one end and we attack face painted family groups with clappy sticks the other we will have at least continued the trend of being the home side whilst making it sound like we are the away team .

This is a fair point, although I suspect that there will be very few teams given the whole school end. Revenue v given the away team an advantage..... The whole family stand issue rears its head again.

I'm hoping both tiers will be shedding lots of tears.

Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." Ipswich have both tiers too.Although there are loads of seats left in x block at the moment.

Only on here, could a near sell out be turned into a negative!

Most were predicting a gate of 10,000 - 12,000 for this one after relegation.

Indeed.

Love the idea that there are 1,600 QPR fans out there who left their ticket purchasing to the last minute for the first game of the season and now aren't buying one because you can only by singles.

got to say I didnt expect us to of sold as many tickets as we have, pleasantly suprised and just goes to shows the fans are still sticking by the club. As for the school end if we continue to sell out our seats there is no doubt that the board will only give the upper tier to teams visiting

First day of the season almost always sells out though doesn't it? Wait a few weeks and if we are still consistently selling out then I will be impressed.

No people are saying we should have the Lower School End which is somewhere in the region of 1,600 tickets. I'm saying it's fanciful to believe there are that many QPR fans out there who left it this late to buy a ticket and now won't because there only singles available.
