Any success Hughes has enjoyed as a manager has been under a restricted framework with a limited budget. Under these conditions he has unearthed some talented players from around the globe. As soon as you give him money to spend he gets lazy and goes for the easy option; expensive signings or players he's worked with previously. QPR have little chance of attracting the world's best to Loftus Road so our transfer policy resulted in a collection of has-beens and primadonnas on inflated wages. The board would have been better served restricting Hughes' transfer budget irrespective of their personal wealth. |

Don't include me in that. I was neither for nor against Hughes when appointed. I just happened to think that TF was split-second right on the money to get rid of NW (and it's also optimistic for the future that MH 'emerged' from the shadows so quickly).
As for the signings he's made, well I think his signings are the only positive thing he's done for the club. Cisse, Granero and Cesar would not have been here otherwise. | |

At this stage, I don't give a sh*t about what happens if we are relegated (partly cos it'd be an absolute f*cking disaster), because we still have a bloody good chance of avoiding that. I will admit, I thought NW had done as much as he could and that Hughes would take us to the next level. How wrong I was. I'd rather have a team of battlers under NW than a what we have now. Look at Norwich and Swansea.....
Saying that, I am not sure if we would have stayed up last season under NW. I dont think we would have won as many big games as we did. |  |
