The Basics 22:22 - Apr 11 with 1194 views | IFeelAsleep | For me this game was all about our dramtic improvement at the basics of footbll. An improvement I wouldn't have even thought possible until the Arsenal game. How many times did we get two players tight on a Swansea player on the wing, thus stifling their little triangles? We gave the ball away so much less around the half way line that I can't believe they never thought of doing it before. But the biggest improvement we have made over the last few games is playing Hill in the centre. He just seems to think that blocking shots, making tackles, and being strong in the air is enough to be a Premiership footballer. What an arrogant man! I watched this on a stream so I can't talk about his positioning all game but I am pretty sure he was directly responsible for stopping two near sure fire goals. If you are in any doubt he was my man of the match despite some other excellent performances. My absolute favourite thing about this game though, was the constant attitude of trying to score goals. We were ripping them a new one right up until the final whistle. We had a bit of a dodgy decision for the Mackie goal but after reading some of the comments from Swansea fans about Derry's sending off I find it hard to be too sympathetic. Honourable mentions go to all the players, the manager and especially the crowd who soundeed immense.

Yep. It's one of the few times this year I haven't automatically felt like we were in trouble as soon as a team got some possesion in our half.
