Andrew Coleman destroyed this club with the bl**dy ridiculous 3 and a half year contract he handed Luke Williams. Mind blowingly crazy under any circumstances but unnecessary and naive beyond reason. From Day 1 I have stated over and over again AC seems out of his depth and the last month has been a personal disaster.
He's now playing shopkeepers to keep the 9 and 10 years old happy with new signings. My hope is that he can generate enough money to create an escape route for himself financially or hands the reins over to someone with far better business acumen who can steer us through the daunting passage to the end of the season. He needs to man up and admit his catalogue of mistakes, it's not as if they are that well hidden from sight. I doubt a manager would go to any club for a one or two year contract. If he’s really wanted he’d expect a three year contract as minimum. The 3.5 year Martinball process has ended in shambles. Even the architects Martin and Grimes have ran away from it leaving Williams holding the "monster" they created. They asked for time and the Americans gave it too them. They believed in cash and were keen to leave when the project came off the rails.
Coleman needs to understand this process of slow walking football has been going on for 40 months. A new philosophy is required. Swansea are driving up a tactical cul de sac and now have got stuck in a ditch where the sewage outfall is.
Coleman can negotiate a pay off with Williams to get him Darling off the payroll.
Swansea now need European experience. The man who led Swansea and the golden land is having growing pains himself at Newport. It is not easy.

I was more than happy with him when we were mid table. The squad is nowhere near mid table quality and he had them punching above their weight.

"need good football consultants" - added cost? A good business doesn't need consultants - they should have the correct staff in place so consultancy is not needed [for a club the size of Swansea and being in the Championship].

These players make the run for the passer to hit him. If the passer turns back instead of risking the ball he is high and dry. The ball over the top does not need thinking about.

Absolutely. They were trying to get a head start on their markers because they knew they had no support if they did get put through.
Coventry compressed the playing space and we resorted to those ineffective long balls. Even when they were onside, they were up against defenders better in the air and had no one to lay off to when they did win it.
We were just giving them the ball. Atrocious tactics. | | | |
