In one fell swoop 17:25 - Feb 1 with 2250 views | nantywatcher | Andrew Coleman destroyed this club with the bl**dy ridiculous 3 and a half year contract he handed Luke Williams. Mind blowingly crazy under any circumstances but unnecessary and naive beyond reason. From Day 1 I have stated over and over again AC seems out of his depth and the last month has been a personal disaster. He's now playing shopkeepers to keep the 9 and 10 years old happy with new signings. My hope is that he can generate enough money to create an escape route for himself financially or hands the reins over to someone with far better business acumen who can steer us through the daunting passage to the end of the season. He needs to man up and admit his catalogue of mistakes, it's not as if they are that well hidden from sight. LW should have gone at least a month ago, surely our new financial brains trust must have the right legal contacts to make life as difficult as is possible?

In one fell swoop on 20:27 - Feb 1 with 1546 views | Tomsyard | I doubt a manager would go to any club for a one or two year contract. If he’s really wanted he’d expect a three year contract as minimum. Of course I haven’t included Alladyce or Warnock who in the past have been airlifted in during a mid season panic by a desperate club at the base of the league.

You are doing what you always do and go into full destructive mode. It is a failure of human nature and you go there and always done it apparently. Coleman has cahones the meek Welshmen and women of the fans group do not have. The fans were given the keys to the shop and turned down. They would be looking shrewd now if th £30m in the bank. They were scared of the responsibility and abuse Coleman needs good football consultants. He looks pretty smart to me. Mourhino was Bobby Robson 's translator. Williams is not on millions. When he arrived the club were blamed for going " cheap". Williams has not been brave and buttered up his veterans to earn more time. Telling everyone what a go pro Fulton is while dispensing Abdullai who offers movement not planted feet and clumsiness. The fans have their own man on the board. No one is quite sure who he is these days. He is a "director" so why is not at the forum. He or she is supposed to " direct". We all know this a nonsense and is for ego purposes and the perks. Back Coleman is is smart and brave. He will get it right. The 3.5 year Martinball process has ended in shambles. Even the architects Martin and Grimes have ran away from it leaving Williams holding the "monster" they created. They asked for time and the Americans gave it too them. They believed in cash and were keen to leave when the project came off the rails. Coleman needs to understand this process of slow walking football has been going on for 40 months. A new philosophy is required. Swansea are driving up a tactical cul de sac and now have got stuck in a ditch where the sewage outfall is. Coleman can negotiate a pay off with Williams to get him Darling off the payroll. Swansea now need European experience. The man who led Swansea and the golden land is having growing pains himself at Newport. It is not easy. Good recruitment makes it a whole lot easier. [Post edited 1 Feb 21:13]

On the Allardyce and Warnock point, there were so many basic tactical errors today. They’ve been there all season, but they stand out more when we’re lumping balls to Bianchini and Ronald in the channels and not creating anything. Ball watching/two players going to the same man and leaving another free Laying the ball off then not running into space Players pressing on their own. It’s very easy to pass around if you don’t have a teammate closing down their options. I probably overlooked stuff like this when we were winning as much as we were losing, but it’s painfully obvious now. Why doesn’t he do anything about it? It’s the first thing one of those survival specialist managers would sort out. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

A sharp rebuke from the side lines deals with this. Connor Roberts typo player would also give them a piece of his mind. Duff suggested this team was far too nice. [Post edited 2 Feb 17:03]

All they had to do was look along the line, Coventry pushed right up but Williams really should have rectified this early and if they didn't listen pull them. Poor play and poor management.

Well there was no choice. If we wanted this calibre of player this is what was needed. Leave it til summer and he’s gone to a bigger club. End of story

I certainly wasn’t! As for Coleman he does have a love and dedication for our club but I agree he needs advice. He has started sourcing players from abroad - maybe there’s a decent coach on the continent somewhere that would fancy the challenge.

I was more than happy with him when we were mid table. The squad is nowhere near mid table quality and he had them punching above their weight. It was fairly obvious when the performance levels dropped and the things he was already not doing well got magnified.

"need good football consultants" - added cost? A good business doesn't need consultants - they should have the correct staff in place so consultancy is not needed [for a club the size of Swansea and being in the Championship]. "Coleman will get it right" How do you know this? I like Andy. He is a good man. And I really hope he does get it right. However time is his biggest opponent and I have no idea if Andy or Ken are aware that time is against the club at the moment.

It happened with Gomis. He was not a target man but a runner behind. These players make the run for the passer to hit him. If the passer turns back instead of risking the ball he is high and dry. The ball over the top does not need thinking about. Swansea are slow of action and mind.

If you watched the game yesterday you would have seen Bianchini and Ronald were continuously offside before making the runs, so it was not the speed of the ball being played. Coventry pushed right up to the halfway line and they didn't adapt, nor did Williams sort it out. [Post edited 2 Feb 12:08]

Absolutely. They were trying to get a head start on their markers because they knew they had no support if they did get put through. Coventry compressed the playing space and we resorted to those ineffective long balls. Even when they were onside, they were up against defenders better in the air and had no one to lay off to when they did win it. We were just giving them the ball. Atrocious tactics.
