Looking at the league table and the amount of games other teams have already played we should now be really confident of finishing in a play off spot. I think the key is how we approach the games, take the game to our opponents like we did against Fylde and the results will look after themselves. If we over think the game and get embroiled in tactical nonsense...p*ssing about at the back and drawing our opponents on to us etc etc, we invite trouble and give our opponents a opportunity to play in our half of the pitch. I think the key is McNulty, i hope he embraces the challenge of finishing in a play off place and doesnt view it as pressure, because the league has opened up for us now and there's no doubt we have a good enough squad. The play off games then become a bit of a lottery as we all know. We are easily capable of winning two out of our next three league games and the Worthing game is now a fantastic opportunity to leave us only two wins from a trip to Wembley. We could be going to Wembley twice, we are more than capable of doing that and i hope the manager and players are already using the prospect of that happening as motivation for the upcoming fixtures. Let's take the game to FGR today and not die wondering. [Post edited 18 Jan 8:11]

Would be good to get something today as we then have 4 consecutive home league fixtures, including the bottom 2 teams ( weather permitting). 10 points out of 15 would consolidate our position in the playoffs, anything above that would be a bonus. As you say, we need to take this cup seriously too as quite a lot of big teams are out and a Wembley trip would be a boost for the club and town ( 2 trips even better!!).

The games in hand need winning and we are facing a fixture pile up. Its not going to be easy and like you, i dont want the club to sacrifice the chance of a wembley final. Its going to be two games a week for the rest of the season and possibly more. That only increases the chance of injuries and players needing a break. Hoping we can handle the fixture congestion.

It will be congested, but what gives me confidence is the size of the squad. There’s suitable cover in most if not all positions, with likely wage budget left to add to it if necessary. On my way to FGR now, they’ve drawn a few at home recently and played on Tuesday so hopefully we can get right at them. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Rodders could really do with a goal, but don't think he has any lack of confidence.

And now concede from the most predictable way they're ever going to score, long throw in missed the first challenge then concede from the flick on

Nothing between the two teams aside from a slight bit of directness. Their goal from a long throw in near the corner.5 minutes later we get the same and the ball goes back to our back 3. That is our team mentality. Lots of possession at 0-1. Zero shots. Okeke going wide right did see 2 decent crosses put in but other than that it was 25 mins of the back 3 having the most touches. Not be-moaning the loss to FG who are where they are for good reason, but it is another example of us going behind and not having that ‘sh.t we are losing’ approach.

Then the same over and over again... Dale need a change of tactics if it happened later on then I missed it due to what i watched earlier.
