bad weather & Leicester away 20:06 - Jan 9 with 1664 viewsPeterHucker

Lots of snow and ice around this week, more on the way overnight & tomorrow.
And I keep seeing stuff on the news about flooding in the Midlands, some of it in Leicestershire.
The match on Saturday isn't going to get called off, is it?
Any local knowledge out there?

The train line between Peterborough and Leicester was closed for a while earlier in the week due to flooding, but that opened a couple of days ago.I think it will only be ice that might cause any possible travel delays. It might be the wrong type of ice for trains to run knowing this lot.
According to the met office it’s going to warm up from 0 degrees at noon to 1c by ko time, and it’ll be a bit misty.

1c..? Bloody luxury.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

No chance of the game being called off, the pavements are icy here today, but the roads are clear. The area around the stadium is always well gritted.

The only flooding we've had in the city was along the river, that does run next to the ground, but too far beneath to flood it. It just breached the tow path but has retreated to its normal levels now. All the really bad flooding was out in the county areas, not the city.
