Vertu Trophy - ball number 3 14:57 - Dec 11 with 657 views | MarkyMark47 | Hoping for another home tie in the draw on Saturday morning. Against Birmingham would be the plum draw, though the most difficult. And would hopefully attract more than the 1100 hardy souls (including me) that braved the cold last night.

I'll take Swindon away for obvious reasons, and we owe them for the FA Cup.

Definitely winnable if we want it enough (and I suspect DC does). I remember seeing the U's at Whaddon Road in the same competition in (I think) our last promotion year? The game should never have gone ahead as 25% of the pitch was frozen solid (and 100% of the U's supporters). I think we won. [Post edited 14 Dec 12:22]

Wasn't at that one, but I was at our first EFL Trophy visit to Whaddon Road, and it was an equally cold and miserable experience - only on that occasion we lost. Richard McKinney gave away a penalty on the stroke of halftime, so the first touch of the ball for Simon Brown was picking it out of the net. McGleish equalised in the second half, then 'Nam just rolled over us - finished 4-1.

Yep, I was there too Wesser. Dreadful evening. Difficult place to go as an away side...or supporter actually.
