I know enough is enough but I've not seen this mentioned anywhere.

Was Bradley the best candidate available in Autumn 2016?

Communication from the club has been poor in recent years (apart from Trevor Birch's tenure).

And I remember how poorly the Bob Bradley press conference was handled with Guidolin in the background. Poor planning from the club at the time.

Depends what the criteria was

If you were naively confident that we would stay up regardless and you wanted to garner some supporters from your homeland, then yes he probably was.

Under any other criteria, we sacked an infinitely better coach just to crowbar him into the role.

The best candidate available was the one already at the club.

A track record of delivering finishes in Serie A way above the budgets available to him, whilst delivering attractive football and developing players in the process.

Sacking Guidolin was a lunatic decision.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

And just as he'd got the team firing too.

That "we" should also include a vocal minority of the supporters.

I can well remember the period where he had to spend a night or two in hospital and for some reason loads of people decided that they were going to criticise him for it and try to give credit for our results at the end of that season to Curtis instead.

My guess is a few hundred thousand maximum. It has been reported that Nathan Wood went for between £2-3m - info in the latest reports is that included compo for RM breach of contract

He is sipping a very nice pinot grigio with his camari over looking the Island of Carpri with the chunky pay off Swansea gave him. All that stuff about the Bradley press conference on his birthday was spin. When to are over 60 birthdays s do not mean a lot . It's the calamari that counts.

Giudoloin is not a 6 year old but an experienced football manager on huge wages. Frankly he did not give a fight at this. It was another spoke in the wheel of a Welsh anti American narrative engineered by low life forums that predated this we excellent one.

Yet another calamitous mistake by your heroes. Never mind they are on their way, better late than never. Going with a £50M black hole in their pockets, never mind you say they will right it off against tax. Just showing that you and your heroes don't and never have cared about the club, just the dollars.

They have now given up on their dream and accept their mistakes most probably I expect them to sell up DC United fairly soon.

They realised a few years back that they did not want spend big funds to get Swansea back in the PL. They tried to engage with the locals but did not have the interpersonal skills of Reynolds or even Silverstein or Coleman.

They are given a hard time but the real slackers were the old Trust people and their associates who declined to cash in their £22m when buyers were about.

Wealthy ownership in the modern game is largely pointless. Kaplan and Levien were worth well North of a Billion Dollars between them, and their hands were largely tied (not that I think they were gagging to spend).

Even if the likes of John Hall and Jacks Walker and Hayward still existed, they couldn't spend what they did on players without breaching FFP regulations. Newcastle United are owned by one of the Planet's largest Sovereign Wealth Funds, and they can't do it either.

Forget the idea of spending our way back to the top. It's not happening, nor should it. What we can hope for is strong leadership, an actual plan, and a sense of purpose that has been lacking for the last few years.

Not sure on the rulings regards paying off debt though. I would have thought all debt wouldn’t be covered by P&S. of course they could chuck cash at the club, by my reckoning after next years declarations for 2023 they could have a twelve million buffer.

It’s a tricky old scenario though.

All you can ask for as supporters is a plan and progress, we have had neither over the last eight years and came close to breaching FFP though incompetence. You can not continually sell your best players and replace with inferior and expect to move forward. The recent plan of paying players league one wages in the championship without being flexible was suicidal. Then leaving us short up front by loaning players out in the summer just to cut wages was inexcusable. Having both central defenders nearly out of contract is beyond explainable.

I understand why over the last eighteen months or so budgets have been cut. We couldn't keep going in the long term needing £10m+ per season pumped in just to maintain what we had.

We're in a weird position at present. Some players are being paid too little, others are being paid too much. Ideally as I've said previously we'd take about 10/15 grand a week combined from Grimes and Pedersen and give it to Cabango and Darling.

A bit of a reset in how we build and maintain a squad is overdue, and we've probably gotten into the position we are due to a lack of a clear vision from the top as to exactly what we're trying to achieve. The biggest single mistake we've made in recent seasons was trying to replace Martin with Duff, and then Duff with Williams. Millions spent changing the way we do things only to bottle it and switch right back. We can't keep doing stupid things like that, and hopefully new management will prevent it.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

When Swansea sold Piroe it was used to solve cash flow issues and keep the debt low. Presumably with big backers Swansea could sell a £10m player and replace with another £10m player with the debts staying under limits.

Swansea s ability to buy £190m prospects from £1m has declined.
