Kolli scores! on 08:44 - Oct 23 with 3542 views | dmm | He also scored in both games for Algeria U20s during the last international break. He's certainly got ability but it would appear he has an attitude problem. Kolli reminds me a little of Charley Kendall, another bright prospect who, a few years back, left QPR thinking he could do better elsewhere. After a string of non league clubs he now plays for Woking.

Where has this attitude problem come from. Who says so. A few posters on here or is coming directly from the club and obviously in particular Marti who picks the team. Any actual bona fide quotes from the club or is that all rumour to suggest a reason he has not been selected. He has shown elements of quality and determination in the few games he has played. Got a decent assist in the only league game he has been in the squad. Clearly even from the little bits seen so far, has done more than Zan Celar. Think he deserves at the very least a slot on the bench from time to time. Basically if a work colleague you just don't like but is decent at their job, most decent managers in all types of workplaces will be having them working in their team if they contribute. And football is on another level with this. Don't think Luiz Suarez or Joey Barton were particularly nice people but they got selected. Obviously Kolli not at those levels but he certainly has enough to be on the bench occasionally, particularly in positions in which we have players not doing it well currently. If he has an attitude- good - at least he might be fired up unlike our Mr Celar..... [Post edited 23 Oct 9:16]

Maybe he's the work colleague who is openly on LinkedIn everyday browsing jobs and letting everyone in the break room that he's better than everyone else in the company...

I'm not ITK, I have no idea what is happening with him and the club, with his family. I don't know anything. I don't know that its my place to know. I do know he's a talented young footballer who I've watched a decent amount at Dev Squad level and know that he is someone we should be nurturing and developing and that would have been a great time to utilise him.

Sorry, but this is very naive. Marti would have him in the team, but Nourry says no.

If that was the case why not just stop him from going to the game at all then? He’s not playing because he’s behind a number of players for attacking midfield positions: Saito, Chair, Dembele, Lloyd and Smyth all deserve to be ahead of him. Cifuentes also prefers Daniel Bennie as a bench option which doesn’t reflect well on Kolli.

Hardly. Don't think anyone thinks he is the saviour of the club. Its just strange he not on the bench occasionally. As was said against Coventry, bringing Smyth off and putting Ashby on, would have been better to have the option of Kolli in that situation. And opportunities when others injured or suspended. I would put him level with Lloyd myself also. I did hear -whether it's true or not - but after all the riots anti Muslim after the tragic deaths of the three very young girls in Southport - he was getting a lot of abuse from people online due to his Muslim background - maybe he responded - understandable - hence the escort to his place. Unlikely but very strange to be escorted into the stadium. Perhaps as others have suggested, he refused to go on loan and the club had said if he doesn't then he won't play in the first team this season. It's all guesswork really but I think Marti would have had him on the bench occasionally and certainly think there is something regarding this, that's not in the public domain. I'm not saying Marti would (should?) have him on the team. As yet. But if Nourry, the CEO is blocking the Head Coach's selections, Cifuentes won't be here for long.

He's scored a goal for the Dev Team against Colchester's Dev Team, and 2 goals for Algeria U20s against....Mauritania. It's not exactly 'banging the door down' form, is it? Yet people are taking really quite polarised positions on him. Odd.

Agree, I think it’s due to our desperate straights at the moment that we are constantly looking for something, anything to light a path. As someone else said, we win a few games and this story, along with a few others, fades away. On the other side of that of course lies the “play off charge” and “HMS piss the league” memes. Maybe I’m just getting old and miserable

Well, the one thing we can be sure of is that no one will ask and no one will tell us even if they do. Vows of silence are obviously written into the contracts of our betters at our 'family' club these days.

To be fair to Kolli, the positives about him aren't only based on the recent games you mention but also on his performances over the last few of years. I've seen him play live on numerous occasions and he's certainly stood out as one of, if not the best DS player we have. The kid is certainly talented but still has much to learn. I hope the apparent attitude issues don't mess things up for him.
