I was just gonna say the same. We always seem to go into a new season undercooked compared with other clubs. Two pre-season games can't be right surley?

Maybe its so our players aren't overcooked by the time we get to October. (Thinking of Clive's reviews where he mentions the Twitter kids love the word "cook" to refer to football players in a team, am I the only one where this is like some foreign language and they've never, ever, ever, ever heard this word used in reference to football players and teams? Maybe I'm getting old!)

I dunno, how many games do you need to practice walloping the ball into the stratosphere?

my guess is that there will be a training camp abroad, but perhaps no games. I personally wonder if we will have four or five games, with some midweek fixtures in late July.

I worked at the stadium not so long ago . Great facilities and Our place looks desperately run down in comparison.
Pre-season dates on 21:19 - May 25 with 7054 views | BushRanger82 | Wimbledon and Oxford, both will hope they draw us in the cups. As will every other club in leagues 1 and 2. Not for nothing, are we known as a soft touch for lower league clubs desperate to progress to the next round.

Pre-season dates on 15:21 - May 31 with 6489 views | Northernr | I think what you're seeing here is we couldn't really book a pre-season until we were safe, and we're now scrabbling around for opponents, hotels, tours etc. In the past we've played Union Berlin and Hoffenheim, well they're not going to play a League One side in a pre-season game.

Because otherwise we're surrendering the only positive thing that did come out of last season - we don't have to go to Reading any more.

Pre-season dates on 08:54 - Jun 13 with 5264 views | toboboly | So this is new - they are giving out loyalty points for the Oxford PSF. Can't remember that being done before, seems a bit strange? https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/ticket-news/tickets-oxfqpr-120623/ Presumably those going to Austria will get 1000 per game? Edit: cheaper tix for ST holders is a nice touch. [Post edited 13 Jun 2023 9:11]
