Seems it’s Marsch … 11:21 - Feb 14 with 2570 views | suzie | All betting closed on him bar 1/20 with Betfair. Personally I’m gutted … it’s an embarrassing appointment that reeks of incompetence and lack of ambition. [Post edited 14 Feb 2023 11:31]

Realistically we were never going to get anybody like a Poch, Rafa or Tuchel & they don't come with any guarantee of success anyway. Managing a team at the top — or even mid-table - is a very different proposition to taking on one at the bottom. Given that relegation is highly likely, I'd also back him to get us back up.

Seems it’s Marsch … on 11:55 - Feb 14 with 2404 views | SonicBoom | Me too. Good luck to the guy and I'll support him but it is embarrassing. Leeds sack him for not winning any games. We sack our guy for not winning any games. Then we think that their guy is magically better and employ him a week later. I fully expect a statement saying that he fits our profile, all his metrics are right, he buys into the project blah blah blah. Let's hope he does come in and has a great impact, after all that's what we all want.
Seems it’s Marsch … on 12:53 - Feb 14 with 2216 views | Buggalugs | On the face of it, none of the candidates mentioned are particularly inspiring, unless you take into account the likes of Pochetinno or Tuchel that only the fantasists think are viable options, so I don't know what people are expecting. Sports Republic are going to want to do things their way and I believe they should be given time to get it right. Jones was a monumental fvck up and that's 100% on them, but at least we have owners that have brought in some quality, it just hasn't worked out. A lot of fans need a reality check. We are what we are ffs.

Indeed. Marsch's sole job will be to do what he did last season with Leeds - prevent us from going down. If he does that, he'll be known as a terrific survival specialist (and a messiah amongst the Southampton faithful).

Seems it’s Marsch … on 13:15 - Feb 14 with 2112 views | SonicBoom | OK we won't get Poch etc but we are still attractive to a lot of managers. Even if we go down we will be among the favourites to come straight back up. There are plenty of managers who would jump at that chance. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

"A lot of fans need a reality check. We are what we are ffs." Do we need a reality check? You gone round asking most fans what they expect? Thought not. My expectation is that we can compete with similar sized or the smaller clubs in the division. eg Fulham, Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth. When we get relegated, the only question will be, which division we end up and how are we going to pay for the circa 130mill we have blown on transfers.

There had to be a change. Your lad looked like he was ready to kill when I walked out on Saturday. You looked like you were also ready to kill, but yourself 🙂

Lol, ok. You're one of the biggest whingers on here, so I kind of get the gist of what you expect. You don't like Sports Republic, you didn't like Gao, you didn't like Kat, you didn't like Ralph, I don't remember you liking/rating any of the players. I don't really think this is for you.

Names please, I'm scratching my head to think of anyone. From their position if Marsch is the one his CV apart from recent Leeds form with injuries he ticks a lot of boxes like formation, prep experience, young players.
Seems it’s Marsch … on 16:18 - Feb 14 with 1736 views | SteveMoron | I watch a lot of Leeds and they have been incredibly unlucky. They play exciting attractive football. Personally I'm excited by the appointment. Get behind it!

Couldn't agree more. I'm excited by the appointment too. Leeds played some fantastic stuff before Bamford got injured and they sold Raphina, Phillips and others.
