No real surprises with Quigley and Ball out. A good chance for Malley to make an impact.
AFC Wimbledon (h) Match Thread on 15:42 - Oct 22 with 7889 views | DaleFan7 | 0-1 awful defending and keeping. To say how much people have wanted Malley to start. I can't remember him touching the ball in this half.

2 very poor sides though. They have had the best 2 chances and put one away. A bit lucky as it was a poor shot that deflected into the goalscorer path with our keeper in no-man's land. Great save by our keeper when a poor Diagouraga put their player through 1 on 1 Good chance to see if the manager can show we can come back from behind

It was. But guarantee it’ll see the return of some posters after he’s defended well in recent games. Good play by Rodney to set up Sinclair

Good to see Sinclair adding to his account. Time for a Hendo brace?

AFC Wimbledon (h) Match Thread on 17:00 - Oct 22 with 7190 views | richfoad32 | I don't think there's a lot between any of the teams in the league, it's just a really poor standard division. We'll just have to hope we can grind out enough results somewhere, although today is another missed opportunity.

Finished 2-1. Can't complain really. We were out battled & hardly had any decent shots for the whole 90 minutes. A big 3 points to lose today against a team that have been struggling

Goes to show how quickly we have come to rely on Quigley, we look powder puff without him. Is there any news on Campbell, has he reaggravated his injury or summat?

We obviously missed Ball and Quigley, mainly because we looked unsure what type of game we were supposed to be playing. With Rodney, Odoh and Sinclair in forward roles the ball had to be played in behind to make use of their pace but it never really happened and trying to play off Rodney doesn’t really work. Their first was a hangover from the bump O’Donnell took a few minutes before as he seemed to still shaking it off and the ricochet left him and the defence out of position. The second: EEL will know as an experienced defender he switched off with the ball near their goal and he wasn’t in the right position for a sudden hoof down field. It was poor but I don’t think Wimbledon were as bad as is being made out, they played to their strengths and got the sort of result we have recently. Hopefully there were won’t be a worstDaleteamsincethedinosaurswerearound reaction after a defeat because we’ll have plenty more. The biggest disappointment is our standard of passing with the most basic errors really killing us when a good simple ball could lead to a promising opportunity.

I don't mind us losing when they've put a shift in. But we were a shadow of recent games and passing woeful. Says something when we need to bring on a defender to get the ball up the pitch. And we had more than 7 minutes of extra time and didn't do enough to get into their box. The ref was poor ...... he needed to control the game. Wimbledon were laughing at him [Post edited 22 Oct 2022 17:33]

AFC Wimbledon (h) Match Thread on 17:32 - Oct 22 with 6837 views | dawlishdale | Really wanted to be posting about the positives today following our mini revival, but I'm struggling to see many. We were very very poor today, and the senior players, together with the rest plus the coaching staff all need to look at themselves critically. We were awful for long periods barring the first 5 minutes, and then another 3 or 4 minutes around our goal. Apart from that, it was an abject performance by most of the team with individual errors throughout. It's impossible to remember them all, but not many players came out of the game with any credit. Having said all that, I thought AFC Wimbledon were possibly the worst anti football team I've seen for many a season, and they should be thoroughly ashamed at their dark arts antics; openly encouraged by their Management team. It wouldn't take many weeks of watching that garbage before I was looking for alternative forms of entertainment.
