Might have a space in a car if you're a 1.

Such a great awayday on the train as well that one.

As has just been pointed out to me on Twitter, they're also striking on the 5th, so if you were staying over post Sheff Utd and going back in the morning (like me) then you can't do that any more either.

Although some suggestion EMR isn't on the list so might be ok.

Strike action will be the norm for the foreseeable. Sign of the times unfortunately.

I was so close to booking a train ticket, pleased I didn't. Can't see myself going to many away games, too expensive plus the potential disruption.

Better make the most of home games!

The parking around the ground wasn’t too bad when I last went by car (insipid 2-0 defeat I think, whenever that was).

Konk said it’s ok to park on his drive. Max 5 cars.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

I've got a long wheel base transit that i'll need to squeeze on as well.

Is he still letting everyone kip in his carriage house after the match?

I’ve got trailer for the beers and stuff, so maybe just four motors. He might do that pay and park on the drive, the tight so and so. Be nice if we could stay the night and save a few quid. Trailers are buggers to reverse, so I’d like to be the first there.

Edit: stuff = hog roast in the back garden.

Never has been.
Went there in the seventies, parked near the bridge.
Got back to the car to find all 4 tyres had been slashed instead of getting back about 10, we got back about 2oclock in the morning , tired, broke , and pissed off.
Even though we won 2 nil

you can get the train on Saturday, one an hour by the look of it but last train back to London is at 4.30 which isn't overly helpful

Keep eyes peeled for traffic reports for M4. Goes without saying really ,but my missus and daughter took 5 hours getting to Bath last Saturday from Bracknell. Should have been an hour and half.
That M4 is a bugger.

Does it make a difference if you set off early?

Yes would help I'm sure.
It looks like its shut eastbound junction 11,12(Reading) all weekend.

You can always come off early and divert to the M3,assuming there isn’t any road closures on that road.Or come off at jct 15 at Swindon and in a couple of miles you’ll be able to use the A420 to Oxford and then straight down the M40 to home. It’s better than sitting in traffic waiting to leave the M4 where it’s closed and then sitting in traffic in Reading.
