Lets hope Dale have the same attitude as Colchester in todays game..they had nothing to play for re safety yet still got an excellent result against a team challenging for play off spot You can have all the talent in the world but if the attitudes poor..disaster see MUFC for example [Post edited 23 Apr 2022 7:42]

RS mentions playing for contracts or playing to impress potential clubs. Let's hope they all take note of that.

That'd be shortly after Hilly took over for the second time. We weren't exactly threatened with relegation, think we were about mid-table but we needed to arrest the slide that Coleman had left us in and that result did the trick, restoring morale and belief Seem to recall it was two very late goals that turned it around. Long trip down for fans; hope they have something to cheer about on the way back

Exeter City (a) Match Thread on 11:07 - Apr 23 with 7199 views | Dalenet | Our next three games could influence who gets promoted, who gets into the play-offs and who misses out. So, for the integrity of the competition, we need to show up. We also have season tickets to sell at some point so a few good results and an upward form table position can do no harm.

Well said that man...let's try and end on a real high. We have been pretty crap all season but now planning for a brighter future.

I remember being relieved at that goal and thinking it was almost as vital as Dagnall’s at Rushden. Think with 10 minutes to play we were only 3 points off the relegation places.

There was some nervousness, and questions about whether Hilly could turn it around That 1-2 victory was on 1 April 2013 so clearly at the sharp end of the season We also won there 0-1 the following February in our promotion season, the last time we've played there, so today's game is on the back of consecutive victories

Thomas and Scanlon on the bench. I wonder if the writing is on the wall now for Newby and O'Keefe. [Post edited 23 Apr 2022 14:11]

I thought we'd already offered Thomas one a while back tbf.

So did I but nothing else seemed to come from it. No formal announcement unlike with Brad Kelly. The thing with Thomas is that he is physically a bit more imposing than most of our other academy graduates, which may help him adjust better?

Correct, Peter Thomas was offered a pro-contract last summer but didn't sign it. He is still a second year scholar but will have a decision to make at the end of the season. Brad Kelly was offered one at the same time and signed his last summer.

The fact Thomas is in the squad at least probably means there's still a chance of him staying, and signing a pro contact.

Had by far the best of the opening 20 mins and the best chances but unable to convert (sound familiar)? City coming back into it. You wouldn't think they were 14 places ahead of us (sound familiar)? Just gave ball away and nearly conceded (sound familiar)?
