Just watched a Genesis concert from 1980 at the Lyceum. Bloody enjoyed it. I know the whole QPR Phil thing, but I like him. Gets too much grief from idiots in bands like Oashit.
Only saw Genesis once in 1981 on the Abacab tour in Frankfurt. Cracking weekend and gig made all the more enjoyable travelling by coach from Victoria to Frankfurt arranged by a specialist rock tour company. In those days in Europe even though you had a ticket you would queue up before gig and rush for your seats when doors opened. Though I always liked Peter Gabriel Genesis stuff, prefer him as a solo artist.
Was more of a Genesis fan. Saw them on the Lamb tour at the Shrine in Los Angeles in 1975. I remember us commenting that Phil had a pretty good voice when we heard More Full Me.
If Oasis were a football team, they'd be Middlesbrough had small domestic success in the 90's but in the grand scheme of things they're decidedly average.

Like him or not, he could hold a tune.
If you love Sax then you get plenty and real musicians... mostly.

its all about opinions I suppose but they have sold over 70 million albums worldwide

I really don't like Oasis, but that's patent nonsense.
There are 21 year olds I work with who would pay like a grand if Oasis reformed tomorrow
