Released List 2020 on 01:09 - Jul 21 with 3113 views | 49thseason | No matter how much the club needs to save or how many (or few) players we intend to employ next season, we need 2 if not 3 new forwards. We dont have a target man and we dont have anything that resembles a regular goal scorer. Its hard to imagine BBM is still sat at home twiddling his thumbs, but unless he has already put a deposit down on 4 or 5 players ( including a couple of fullbacks). there isnt going to be much left that he might be interested in if we dont get a move on. If we wait much longer we are going to be begging for loanees. It will be a disaster if we are thinking of depending on a number of untested youth players becoming regular 1st team squad players all at once. We also need to give supporters something positive to hang their season tickets on.

We’re down 6 forwards from a month ago. We don’t have a single senior forward at the club. The absolute minimum we need is 3. Agree on all your other points wholeheartedly, but unfortunately I think we will be stuck with youth players filling a lot of the large holes in the squad. [Post edited 21 Jul 2020 2:07]

That's a positive then. BBM has been visible in OK Magazine more than he's been to do with the football club recently. Cheers Chris.

If he has been furloughed then he cannot do anything for his employer that may be deemed as adding value.

Released List 2020 on 19:22 - Jul 21 with 2305 views | Thacks_Rabbits | Think we have to be fairly pragmatic about next season and try and look at the positive side of things. Keith I believe had the highest budget for player wages we have ever had, and let’s face it, this did not show on the pitch and he was sacked, again costing money for him and CB. A cut in wages budget was inevitable considering Covid etc. We have released 2 very good players (neither of which have a club yet) and a very good servant of football in Alby. The rest were either not good enough, injured, should never have had a new deal or had issues that meant they did not contribute. I don’t include loan players but obviously they will have been being paid. I don’t think it’s unfair to suggest we have cut our wage bill by between 1 and 1.3 million pounds if you include loan players, so to bring in 6 to 8 players, either permanently or on loan should be possible for bbm, and still have wage budget below the rumoured cut. He has good contacts, has an eye for signing good players and seems level headed so we are far from without hope. Everyone will be in a similar boat (except Bolton) as other than them no big signings have been made. Rather than look at who we lost who we wanted to keep, look at what we got rid off that offer little, that’s probably over half a million quid a year or certainly close!

Released List 2020 on 21:53 - Jul 21 with 2165 views | boromat | It's definitely not panic stations yet there's going to be a huge pool of available players this year. And I should imagine at the end of the window we'll probably have one of the largest amount of players still available for that time of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if that is our strategy, for better or worse. Probably the cheaper option.
