I read it as all of the currents seasons parachute payment and the first instalment of next years parachute payment, potentially somewhere between £40m and £50m.

Agreed. I don't think it's concerning, we did the same with TV money payments in the Premier League most years.

Not really. Gives an indication of how the club covers the big gaps between payments received, with the owners lending to cover short term cash flow issues. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

"Short term cash flow issues"? Wrong. This is structural.

Wow, another chance to have a pop at Jenkins. Seems Ian has got what he wanted from this thread. I guess it doesn't matter this is something we do EVERY SEASON

As I have always said Chris, he did a wonderful job for many years. But has made so many fck ups in latter years that even you can surely recognise.

Reading the document I read it as being all of this season and the first instalment of next seasons payments as opposed to being twice as long as previous assignments which is why I suspect you had the emoji off the res. I do not profess to be a financial expert, but I do share your concerns.

I didn't claim to understand the full detail. My lack of concern stems from the fact that this isn't a new type of arrangement. People are clearly concerned so I don't see what's wrong with pointing out that this doesn't appear to be a new way of the owners pocketing cash.
Maybe nothing on 08:56 - Sep 5 with 6427 views | omarjack | ...And the cloak of deceit has fallen! It's all very clear now, I'm actually astonished that such a secret document was leaked. I pray for the safety of the "leaker" and his children. But alas, I see no hope this time. Barclays is channeling funds for the Americans. Money laundering so to speak. The club has been used as a font for exchanging dirty money. What business are they really in? Human trafficking? Drugs? wow.. [Post edited 5 Sep 2018 8:57]
