Wonderful interview.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

"...this season, next season, the season after and the one after that."

Does that mean the Hogan income will arrive in four instalments?

Brilliant. There speaks a bloke with the club and it's future in his heart.

I'm trying to think of any other manager who could give an interview like that.

You can keep Mouriniho, Guardiola, Klopp and Brass(or should that be Day?), I wouldn't rather anyone else other than Keith Hill to be manager of my football.

Its great stuff as always.

Would he be as upbeat had we not lost back to back 4-0 games? I'm sure there's an element of knowing that he's the leader of our football club, and all eyes whether it be players, staff or supporters will be on him and looking to him for inspiration.

Was thinking as well about the changes in twelve months. A year ago, there was always a word of caution that despite doing well and being where we were, just look at Stockport, Yeovil etc. It's as if he feels now that we really are a settled League One side. He's said before it could take up to ten years for us to fully establish ourselves.

The full interview is an absolute classic, listened in the car on the way home and was in stitches. He sounds like a kid on Christmas Day it really is fantastic.

Getting his % of the Hogan sell-on might have had something to do with it...

Good it shows the club's strategy works and Hill stays here for the foreseeable future.

But to be fair he seemed more excited by the Kitching signing!

Brilliant interview and even better timing. Let's see if we can now get this new squad settled and playing in the way we expect. Hard work, endeavour and a willingness to try and play in the right way.

Up the dale.

I agree with you the full interview is magnificent, funny and yet very inspiring. As soon as I'd heard it, I had to go and find a brick wall to run through.

It's no wonder the players play with so much enthusiasm if they are subject to that type of rhetoric all week!

Isnt it a shame that the full interview isnt available to all Dale fans ? I'm sure the PR it would generate would comfortably outweigh the revenue from "Dale Player".

A fantastic interview and one that fills you with excitement for the future. Bury fans must be jealous beyond belief when they compare an interview like that with the ones their clowns come out with!

It is rare, in this age of football, for a manager to deliver an interview with that amount of genuine enthusiasm, passion and humour. You get so used to the tired, cliche-ridden tripe that has become the norm elsewhere.

It's pleasing also because, earlier in the season, I feared he was getting bored. He clearly isn't.

It's certainly a huge change from perhaps 12-15 months ago when 'second season' syndrome seemed to be weighing heavily on him, and the tone of his interviews was quite dark. There may, of course, have been other factors at play away from football.

As others have said, it's great to see someone so enthused by their work, which to us fans isn't work but still a big part of our lives. That's why we post on here.

Just to add, Hilly seemed pleased to be back to the 'bread and butter' of the league. Me too, after all the hype and distraction of big cup games.

I love Hilly, and part of me hopes that for his sake he gets a chance at a bigger club and really get the credit he deserves - obviously we'd miss him but I think with the structure he's overseen we could carry on with our business model even if he left. Good time to be a Dale fan.

Keith is quite clearly very happy at this moment in time. The Hogan cash injection will give him plenty of fuel in the next few years to boost the club even further. It's a fantastic cushion. It gives him more freedom to get the players he wants, within reason. And where will that take us?

The only downside in the interview is when he says he wouldn't leave Rochdale in the merde, which could be interpreted that he would leave given the right circumstances. I am sure most Dale fans wouldn't want him to leave and don't want this dream to end.

I often think, does Keith, really, really appreciate how much joy he brings to the Dale supporters.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.
