Perfect, inexpensive and interested.

Undo some of the damage of the last 18 months.

I would love it. Properly love it. Moving away from the likes of him to the likes of Shelvey was symptomatic of where we went wrong under Monk IMO.

Have an upvote each.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

No thanks. His ballet shoes were hard to make for such slender feet. Cost a fortune.

Napoli are planning on making a number of changes to their squad in the January market and the former Swansea midfielder is one of the players they want to offload.

De Guzman has fallen out of favour under new manager Maurizio Sarri and has yet to make an appearance this season.

The Dutchman is now being touted for a return to England, with Aston Villa, Bournemouth and his old club Swansea all thought to be interested.

"We're looking for a solution, he will leave in this market," his agent Fabio Parisi told Radio Crc.

"It's clear to everyone that his adventure with Napoli is over and we're making some evaluations that we will resolve soon."

Him as a goal threat, de Jong as an enforcer. Couple of Dutch people here to help the ajax coaching guys coming in in the summer.

Would be perfect for us and would hopefully signal a return to the style that brought us so much success. At the moment, I think we need to prioritise a striker, but I'd still be delighted if we signed JdG.

He's tremendous at set-pieces and looks like a young Smokey Robinson. What's not to like?

Now that Shelvey's gone - definitely.

I think that some posters have donned rose tinted spectacles. He was very much hit and miss in his performances for us.

Course it was. Adjusting to a 'maverick's' way of playing is not part of the plan and has simply not worked.

Far less miss than some would have had it at the time.

Get. It. Done.

Would be a great signing for us - how much would he cost? If he's out of favour at Napoli it wouldn't be more than £3m-£5m I'd imagine?

It'd be another indictment on the board if they let him go to one of our direct relegation rivals.

Would be an absolute perfect signing.

Calm, cultured and a goalscoring midfielder.............throw in how much we can get him for, ticks all the boxes.
