Whiplash, very good Birdman, quite good Northern Soul, enjoyable American Sniper, OK, shame the Yanks ruined the ending ! Gone Girl, brilliant, my favourite so far (but might not be 2015 ?) Equaliser, pretty good, as mentioned Denzil rarely lets me down. Taken 3, predictable, repetative & unbelievable 50 Shades Of Grey - Cr@p The Gambler - quite good John Doe : Vigilante - Enjoyable, despite being an Aussie film The Cobbler - Really enjoyed it. Get Hard - Rubbish Project Almanac - Ditto Kurt Cobain doc - disappointing, kinda glad Dave Groul kept away from it. Wedding Ringer - Quite good for that 'no brains required' comedy. Kingsmen: Secret Service - Even better if you like an English Austin Powers flick Mortdecai - Really enjoyed this. Depp does Fast Show, with McGregor & Paltrow. Again, just a comedy, but if you want to just sit and smile, it's good fun.
My Best subtitled films ? (And I really don't like subtitled films !) In order - Life Is Beautiful City Of God Downfall
That's a bit of me - don't judge too harshly.

I watched Battle of five armies last night when I got in. I was disappointed with that as well. Desolation of Smaug was far better. They should have kept the Hobbit films to 2, but then if they did DOS wouldn't have been so good I suppose. Last good film at the cinema I've seen was Guardians of the Galaxy.

For me the worst thing is that Jackson didn't think of a way to give a distinctive personality to the Hobbit movies and instead made them into 'LOTR lite' with endless references to LOTR and line after line copied from LOTR.

Finally got to see MAd Max last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it with the relentless action, Mrs just sat there staring in disbelief and I now have to pay the penance of letting her choose the next film.
Also highly recommend the imitation game which I saw on sky box office a coup!e of weeks ago.

Maybe Mad Max is a bit of a blokes film? Everyone I know that has seen it (all blokes now I think about it) have really raved about it. Including the ones that wouldn't automatically watch action movies.

I was gonna mention this as being one of the worst steaming pile of dog cum movies I've ever witnessed, but I was too ashamed to admit I'd seen it. I now feel liberated!
I watched this on a plane a couple of weeks ago. It really is the worst film I have ever seen.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

Proper belly laughed when he squeaked his chicken at his car-jack victim! Yeah, I enjoyed it.
:)
Visually spectacular film.
the way that robot moves.... wow. Genuinely the first film since the 80s where I've not been sure how they did it.
It looks too real to be CGI but is animated too well to be a practical effect.
That Martyrs film looks bleak. To be honest I only really like horror films when it's a ghost/demon/alien/whatever that is doing the killing. When it's just people being pricks, I don't care and it seems needlessly sadistic.
I have no idea why shit like Himan Centipede gets made. Films by wrong 'uns for wrong 'uns.

You definitely wouldn't like Tusk then, made by 'Silent Bob' it has someone being made into a walrus. Yes, a walrus!

I don't watch many films but saw "Love & Mercy," about Brian Wilson, and thought it was pretty decent.
I feel fulfilled now I have made that massive and telling contribution to this noble thread. I shall make some tea by way of a reward. Goodbye.

My favourite films this year have been Imitation Game and Bridge of Spies. Mark Rylance and Tom Hanks are amazing in what could have been a very dry film without the fabulous acting and gentle humour.
Know it's a 2014 film but just saw Wolf of Wall Street and it's my absolute overrated film this year: humourless, charmless and aimless misogynistic unpleasant crap that I gave up on after one hour. May be a bloke thing? But my husband suggested we stop watching it first.
Favourite foreign film is Tell No One. Cracking French thriller.
