I hope they spend the rest of their lives regretting it - it's an incredibly idiotic thing to do with just one goal required in such a huge game. No sympathy for them whatsoever.

There's a picture of the small group of fans running back up Wembley Way, meanwhile a bloke and his son in a Southend shirt continue to walk away from the ground. Hope that kid never forgives him.

Southend Up on 23:08 - May 23 with 2314 views | YouTubeDale | I wanted Wycombe but justice prevailed in the end as Southend were denied a clear penalty which the ref had a very good view of. The ref must have been bent not to give that.

Southend Up on 08:23 - May 24 with 2162 views | dilleydaler | At least Sarfend are a proper League club. Average away following for Sarfend 417. Wycombe 313. 104 x 20 = £2,080.

It always use to be the last or next to the last away game of the season. Always a great weekend as they use to play in a Friday night as I think the market was on the car park on a Saturday. We found a great hotel. We always filled a mini bus and then went into London to watch a first div game on Saturday. Remember seeing Liverpool when their last title beating Chelsea. King Kenny With the winner. Ridiculous to think I could just walk in the away end and pay at such a g Big game. Also be able to afford it as well !

Something to do with the football gods I think - pay back for one of our two wins in the whole of the 1973-74 season being at Southend. How humiliating was that for them.
