....beat Villa and we are out of the bottom three. Don't like saying must win but with Chelsea coming the following weekend I'm not sure a point will do.

No doubt that this one is massive.

SURELY now we can agree as one that there ARE "must win" games.

Villa is one of them.
Yesterday was as well.

Fail to BEAT Villa and it's all over.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I think if we dont beat Villa we don't stay up unfortunately.

Poll: Serious concern we'll double drop?

Nonsense. We draw against Villa then beat Chelsea and we are right in it. Mind you ....

That was such a bitter pill to take... We should have been 3 up at halftime

Still scarred by that game at Villa Park...

Ok, ok, I know we have Liverpool, City and the scum still to come this season but I genuinely don't look at any of them and think "we don't have a chance in hell".

We played fairly well against Chelsea away this season. Hopefully the crowd turn up. Stranger things have happened.

Liverpools seem to have got over their purple patch and have gone back to been crap. If you press them high up the pitch and get the turnover of posession i'm fairly confident we could get something from that.

City... well ok we'll probably lose but we almost always give City a good game in recent years it seems.

I wouldn't bet on it but as Austin succintly put it in his post-match interview... We've got a chance.

Up there with the sickest I've ever felt after a game, still don't like thinking about it now. And here we are again...

Lose it and we're fooked, win it, and we can do it.

Three out of the bottom four won this weekend, the other one drew. Kind of takes the gloss off it for me.

Have to beat Villa, WHU and Newcastle and draw one of the others.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Gutted I am missing this one. Sat was so much fun. Must win for me.

Urgh what a soul-destroyer that one was. A Bosingwa (Bosingwa! Of all people!) Free-kick hit the bar just before half time and then they went straight down the other end to start their comeback. Horrible.

We have to have a go, but we're still going down. But at least we'll do it fighting this time. A draw wouldn't be the end of the world.

Bare bones.

Fcuk, now I remember it. He spent most of that game off his face on Brazilian hashish, fumbling around his 6 yard box like a blind beggar.

Shouldn't take the gloss off Saturday. For a start if we hadn't won we'd look dead already.

We all thought a long time ago that we might well end up going to Leicester and needing to win on the last day.......... if we get to then and we're still alive and in with a chance it'll already be a bloody miracle.

There are no must win games until we really must win not to be relegated. Having said that winning on Tuesday night feels like it would be absolutely huge in keeping us in with a reasonable chance of survival.

We've beaten them once this season. Are they any better now than they were? Are we any worse? Bobby Zamora to score the winner in the 89th minute................ or we might just f*ck it up.

Heres to Stewpeas and his match-winning header under the Villa Park lights when we had a much worse team than this

Believe!

There are other reasons to be hopeful - just cannot see Hull winning another game. Sunderland beat a piss poor Newcastle side and we can beat them at home. West Ham did not look that impressive against Leicester and we can beat them at home. Aston Villa are a poor, poor side who since Tim has taken over have beaten no one to speak of and when they did they were bloody lucky. Leicester have games left they can win as do Burnley - teams that might need to start worrying are West Brom and Newcastle.

All to play for but it is going to the wire and as long as we do not get beat on Tuesday that will be good for two back to back away games given our away record this season.

I think that everyone at the club is pulling in the right direction and that they still believe it's possible. The Everton game was a sickener but for big chunks of the first half in particular we looked as well-drilled and connected a side as I've seen all season. This week's game was pretty much a re-run (without Matt Phillips on the left FFS) and it worked. The full backs have blown hot and cold all year and the WBA game was no exception but CR recognised Yun was struggling and brought on Clint (belatedly, yes, but even this is an improvement over recent subs). We can get wins against Leicester and Sunderland. It's the West Ham and Villa games that concern me.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Sunday was disappointing, but Hull and Villa both lost, so I'd consider that a pretty good weekend.

It's 3 from 6 IMO, with Leicester looking like a real long shot.

Lose to Villa and it's 3 from 5 with a mountain to climb, not impossible, but I'd certainly be resigning myself to relegation being what will happen. Beat Villa and it's all to play for.

Can't help thinking we're going to get shafted by a late refereeing decision in this one.

Sunderland and Hull look doomed IMO and a big ask for Leicester to get out of it
