As of 3pm 18,000 tickets sold on 19:56 - May 14 by collegeranger | As Mel said there are apparently 11,000 season ticket holders each can buy 2 tickets = Max 22,000 guaranteed. There are apparently just under 10,000 members each can buy 1 ticket = 10,000 + 22,000 = 32,000 all are guaranteed. Then 5000+ (not all season tickets and members will take full allocation) will then be offered to season ticket holders and members. On other threads folks are saying thats unfair. However, the club effectively wants to know and have an attachment to those buying the tickets to prevent touting, bad behaviour, desperate Derby fans and Robbie Savage getting hold of our tickets!! |
Are you sure your figures are correct? And anyway, members can buy 2 tickets which seems to dispute he calculation Edit: my mistake 2nd members ticket is subject to availability [Post edited 14 May 2014 20:05]

Ah, but some ST holders are also members. Have you factored that into your calculations?

If you go to even one game as a home fan you're on the database. QPR send me stuff all the time and when I buy tickets I have an account - I am known. It wouldn't have taken too much organisation to put in a round for lowly scum like me, if there were to be any tickets left over after the ST and member phases finish. That avoids touts and troublemakers and rewards the loyalty of the "third layer."

less than 17,000 tickets sold and the only seats available, next to each other, are in the top tier.... Sorry but that does not make sense! Do you get to choose your seat (as per the QPR ticket system) or is it a case of selecting seats in a block and its pot luck where they are?

You choose the block - and the seats you get in that block are then just allocated so you can't choose which. And I suspect if you apply for say 8 seats at once, if there are not 8 seats together in the block you chose, they will give you them in another block. I applied for 8 seats in block 110, but ended up with 8 seats together in 111 as I presume there were not 8 together in block 110 (and this was 12 mins after the tickets went on sale yesterday!). What happens if there are simply no bunches of 8 seats together left I've no idea.

It does make sense because 20,000 or so of the tickets are in the top tier. http://www.mapaplan.com/seating-plan/wembley-stadium-chart-london/high-resolutio

Each member buys 1 ticket, so you buy for 2 members in the same transaction (i.e. 2 client ref numbers)

But it says Members can buy a second ticket on the Saturday i.e a second ticket not for another member. So for example, being a member myself, If I wanted to take my elderly mum who is not a member or season ticket holder (I don't by the way) I can get her a ticket on Saturday having already got mine on Friday. The obvious snag here is, as I've already got a ticket the day before, my second ticket for my elerly mother wont be next to mine and she would have about as much chance of finding her allocated seat on her own as a 3 year old and she'd be sitting next to stangers on her jack and so would I in another part of the ground. Now what is that all about then?

this was my point. A mate from abraod who is a member wants to bring his wife along and isnt sure how hell sort this out, as I doubt shed want to sit on her own
As of 3pm 18,000 tickets sold on 10:17 - May 15 with 2960 views | gordanoR | Up until 5 minutes ago I had no intention of going but my mate reckons he can get me a ticket tomorrow or Saturday. With my wife begin pregnant with twins the responsible side of me says don't do it but I really want to be there now. My in-laws, despite their faults, have offered to be on call on the 24th whilst I watched the game in the village pub so would there be much difference in me begin at Wembley instead? Technically the twins are due at the end of June but my wife is booked in for an elective c-section on the 28th May. Oh dear, what to do....
