I was in Cardiff today at a conference and had to sit with a bunch of local noises. The conversation was about Cardiff and how the lack of a club in the Prem was hampering raising the profile of the city. They were listing the advantages they had over the Swans of a bigger ground, larger fan base and a more populous hinterland. Plus Cardiff is the capital city and is more prosperous and a bigger economic hub. Eventually I was asked where I was from and I was able to say the home of the only Premier club in Wales and I have a season ticket. I was described as lucky and my parentage doubted. They are really not happy with the situation!! |

Puel obviously saving them for the trip to the mighty Swans. Already 2 - 0 down after 22 mins. Shame, wanted them knackered. |

My daughter was late to the match today and had one hell of a job to get in. Do the turnstiles all close and if so at what time?? |

Sometimes I feel we moan too much about how we compare to the big boys in the league ie. press coverage, position on MOTD etc. However, the coverage since the Chelsea game has left me seething. I was particularly galled when the BBC gave a slot on a flagship sports programme to Cahill to bleat to the nation about a referee's error. This would not have been the case for a player from Swansea. This is clearly airtime reserved for 'top 4' England internationals. I was at Anfield last season when we lost 1 - 0 to a penalty against Taylor. A referee's error that was largely ignored and thee BBC must have 'forgot' to invite a Swansea player to explain to the nation how upsetting it all was. Cahilll's views on astonomy are also rather novel. Nobody could see from there as everybody knows - it is made of cheese. Clearly another thick, overpaid footballer! |
