I would be gutted to see him go anywhere - he's been our best player this year - and that shows how much he has matured over the past season - the old Adel would be sulking every 5 minutes given the form and commitment of his team mates, but he has rolled his sleeves up and consistently been the player who is trying to change games for us.

A lot of good points here - yes Adel does still give the ball away too often but Cisse's runs are abysmal (blindside, uninspired and blocked off) and it doesn't help him. Zamora, when he was playing, doesn't make runs really he is too slow.
Mind you I'd have Zamora back in like a shot now Hughes has gone. Harry would get him moving.
Anyway - Adel is still our most creative and dangerous player.
BUT £15 million would mean we could get the the non luxury players we need to stay up. And instead of relying on a creative genius we would rely on fast wingers and proper strikers to score goals.
One of the main issues with Hughes is we never ever had a proper plan for how we were going to create and score. Harry will give us a game plan. |  |

What an excellent point about blind side runs and Adel being on a different wavelength to Cisse and Mackie.
My one criticism with Adel is his decision making, too often continues to dribble or shoot rather than pass.
