"United willl be printing money"

They'll need to in order to pay for it:

"The cost of replacing 'The Theatre of Dreams' with a new arena has been estimated at £2billion - and how United intend to fund the project remains unclear."

Its going to be a city within a city, it will be paid for by the commercial developments, it is impressive and I hate to say it, it is iconic

Just seen the first pictures and it looks very odd. Not a toilet bowl like Portsmouth’s Fratton on the sea, more like a UFO.

They'll still struggle to compete with Bournemouth.

There will be some public funding used for this.

Guarantee it.

Absolute disgrace.

Must admit, did enjoy Sir Jim Ratcliffe defining what he deems as a ‘proper fan’. Seems to have a lot of plastics up in arms……

If we thought some of our Noddies on Social Media were bad, that Mark Goldbridge takes things to a new level.

In the list of highest capacity stadia in the world, it's interesting to see that 3-10 are all US university ones.

Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad, India) - 132,000 capacity, 114,600 seats

Rungrado 1st of May Stadium (Pyongyang, North Korea) - 113,281 capacity widely claimed

Michigan Stadium (Ann Arbor, Michigan) - 107,601 capacity

Beaver Stadium (State College, Pennsylvania) - 107,282

Ohio Stadium (Columbus, Ohio) - 102,780

Kyle Field (College Station, Texas) - 102,733

Tiger Stadium (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - 102,321

Neyland Stadium (Knoxville, Tennessee) - 101,915

Darrell K Royal Memorial (Austin, Texas) - 100,119

Bryant-Denny Stadium (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) - 100,077

Goldbridge is even worse when you discover that he's from Nottingham and was a forest fan before "discovering" United.

Saying that they dealt with him much better than we have our "influencers", he pretty much can't show his face at old trafford because it's been made clear he's not welcome there.

As for the new ground personally i think it'll be sad to see Old Trafford go, it's one of the last iconic grounds in the country and can make a hell of noise when they get going.

They will have to sack a lot more backroom staff (on tops of 200 recently let go), to pay for this.

The money they saved on staff hot meals they stopped will not go far towards building this circus tent.

Ratcliffe is a dreamer.

If it goes ahead, they will potentially have the best stadium in the Championship.

When or when will the architects, designers, owners and town planners not understand, that without the supporting infrastructure then any enormous venue is utterly useless. I’d welcome a New Old Trafford but only with the government assurance that the M5 would be significantly widened to take account for the extra volume.

For a club that is apparently about to go bust at the end of this season if they don't make a few more £25k a year employees redundant, that's not bad going!

Yes, absolutely.

I've noted this with the railways near these grounds.

Brighton is a 31,000 seater stadium yet Falmer station only has two platforms. Results in massive queues, which a lot of our fans had to deal with this season.

Everton's new ground will have the same issue; I've already seen complaints over on Twitter about how busy Sandhills station (the nearest one to Bramley Moore) was in the U21 fixture they held recently. Guarantee when that place starts hosting PL fixtures the queuing will only get worse and more chaotic. No idea how they don't account for these things

I see they're taking no chances with the leaky roofs - they're putting a big tarpaulin over the actual stadium roof. It's a bizarre design, more Saudi Arabia than Salford. And God knows how far from the pitch the back rows will be. It's bad enough at Wembley and that has 10,000 less seats than the new OT will have.
