"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain)

Regular posters may remember that I am a Freemason . I am part of a PSA screening programme run by a charity called CHAPS . They run screening sessions in London and the home counties , they run sessions for Masons and non Masons for a small cost or in our case a charity donation .
You get the results online(your number and a Red Amber Green rating ) and referral for a scan if the number is high . They recall you every three years or more regularly if your numbers rise .You dont need to have any symptoms to attend and they often do skin Cancer screenings and Aortic Anyurism scans on the same day included .
They are held at Masonic venues and other places , I went to Essex Cricket ground . The blood taking is done by volunteer professionals and the screening by labs used by the NHS
The details are on their website .
RIP Steve Harley . I was 14 when Come Up and See Me was in the charts , some of the unplugged versions on You Tube are brilliant . A really nice guy .
