It’s almost like it’s not happening, can’t get excited about this at all. 2016 was a totally different beast.

The world cup should be in the summer. End of.

Why? It is the World cup not the "Temperate World Cup" . The middle east can afford a good affair but should have contracts to protect workers and fans right to drink.

Because it’s decimated seasons all over the place, particularly Europe.

Players shouldn’t be missing World cups due to innocuous injuries picked up in league games played the week or two before the tournament starts.

The vast majority of fans don’t actually go. Holding it in our Summer brings people together much more. I’m sure the fan zone in Singleton Park will be excellent, but how much better would it have been open air in July?

Qatar under pressure to get out of the group.
Recently ,behind doors friendly saw great number of penalties awarded to them.
They bought this tournament so can buy officials easily.

Bring the boys home

Are you suggesting bribery might exist in football circles ?
How very shocking and distasteful.
Think Qatar could by all the officials under the very hot sun.
They are still going to get their football arses kicked

World’s eyes on them, assume VAR is there, will be very difficult to do anything dodgy. Wouldn’t be surprised though, money talks.

No one seasons has been decimated. There is a one month gap in several seasons. Many already have a mid season break. Germany for example.

It is a World cup not a northern Hemisphere world cup. There is a big world south of Europe and north of South Africa, Parochialism on stilts.

Singleton Park?

The Bundesliga has less teams/fixtures than comparable leagues. Germany also has colder weather. A bit of a skewed example there if we’re honest. Sadio Mane will still miss the opening games at least because of an injury sustained in a German football fixture very close to the World Cup.

Yes, seasons have been decimated. More midweek games to compensate. A weeks break between league and World Cup football. If Wales, or any team with championship players reaches the quarter finals, their players will still be involved when the league season resumes.

Yes, life exists outside Europe, but it’s FIFAs key demographic and where all its biggest money making leagues are situated. That’s why games are kicking off at 11pm local time.

Fans in warmer parts of the world are less affected by winter and can still congregate in outdoor fanzones.

Parochialism? Not sure if you appreciate the irony there?

Singleton Park is well known in Swansea.

As this is potentially a once in a lifetime opportunity, I’m going out there, despite it being one of the worst places it could have been held. Drop me a message and I’ll buy you a beer in a controlled, sanitised fan zone 👍🏻

USA have around 10 or 11 players starting regularly in Europes top leagues, Germany, Italy, Spain, England. So will be a hell of an ask to beat them.
We will have to be on top form.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Definitely a tough game, but it was always going to be like that as bottom seeds. I still think it’s the best group apart from maybe group A

Ina way,you re right.
We shouldn’t complain about other countries human rights records or their religious rules.
We shouldn’t be there Full stop.. Wales and other civilised countries should simply not be taking part.

There again, they are happy to come here and £on business with us,no matter how rotten we are.

There was no contrition from Mr Infantino.

WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE SAID

"yes it is not perfect we know this. We have made some mistakes and we and our stakeholders are working on these."

"We have ring fenced a fund (x% of the profits) for the families of those who died or seriously injured as result of being associated with the WC2022. We have commissioned consultants to collect data."

"Having the WC in Qatar has been a positive force for development in what is in effect a very young country. The benefits will be seen in the future from the errors we have made and tried to correct."

"A fund will be provided for charitable causes in Bangladesh, Phillipines Pakistan and xxxx where most of the migrant workforce came from".

Resolven Clean Air PR consultants.

Clueless Infantino is not worth the salary he is on.

Tuned into our national broadcaster to watch Qatar vs Ecuador but have barely mentioned todays match. They’ve been discussing whether Southgate will play five or four at the back against Iran for the last ten minutes.
