Yes - still around just not posted very much recently.
Very happy to step up and start this thread and hope it will change our luck.
Tough game this and although Cardiff have been pants recently they will take heart from the weekends comeback. Stop Moore scoring and we have a good chance - so I am going for a hard fought win but it will be close. 1-2 with Charlie coming good.

Thought Referee's time management was superb, 4 minutes just about covered the time he took to re-set + re-start the game after we put the ball out for Kieffer Moore's injury!
Plus 3 other lengthy injury delays, 6 subs, our final throw-in routine, my MOTM and hopefully a 9+ from Northern!

The lack of pace up front showed. Surprised Warbs brought Gray in for his pace. Yet to see it. As it stands our fastest player is our 34 year old right wing back.

We don't really play a system that favours through balls that pacey players can run on to which might have something to do with it.
Having said that I'm not really a fan of Gray, and I could wrong, but hasn't he scored three goals now, with not a lot of game time?

We do towards the end of games when we are soaking up pressure with 5 at the back. We have Duke McKenna who comes on and uses his pace to his advantage. That's what we need but higher up.
A pretty dire game tbh, Cardiff on this showing are in for a long season. Yes we won it, but Cardiff were so poor we should have gone for the jugular. I thought Dunne, Dozzell, and Moses were the pick of the bunch. As for Gray , scored a goal but doesn't offer much help to the team. If he scores every game I'd put up with it, but to me he looks bone idle, and I hate it if I don't think someone is giving 100%. Oh I'm happy we got three points that's the main thing.

We should be putting away poor teams and making things more comfortable for ourselves. Still I will take any away win especially to end the bad run away and the concession of stoppage time goals.

Important to remember that we’re without Wallace, de Wijs, McCallum, Field, Willock etc.
Clive was right in his match preview. It’s all about keeping in touch until we get some reinforcements back in the squad.
3pts on the road and a clean sheet is always a welcome result and even more so given the circumstances.
This. It may have been turgid but it was a damn sight easier to digest than the 2019 fixture in which QPR had 71% possession and 14 shots yet walked away on the wrong end of a 3-0 thumping.

That's 2 more League goals than Charlie Austin. Maybe need to cut him some slack.

I know that his goal won it in the end but I thought that wasn't great by Gray taking himself off like that. Making a spectacle of himself. I don't think Warbs was happy either.
Didn't see it like that at all. Clear he couldn't carry on, you could see physio tell tge bench that at the start. He went to get up, realised Charlie wasn't ready AND we were winning 1-0 so stayed down a bit longer.
Seen it done to us so many times, as we've said before referees are not doctors so are never going to pick up a player and drag him off, so everyone takes advantage of that fact.
MW didn't look very unhappy with him at the end of the match, non issue for me.

Fair enough. At the time I just thought it disrupted our play as we were starting to get on top. Allowed Cardiff to get back into the game. I just find him a bit of a selfish player which frustrates me sometimes. Maybe it’s based on preconceptions and a bit of selfishness in the side wouldn’t go amiss.
