We’ve done alright. The structure suits the players much more with midfield looking to get it into the strikers and joining them and the wingbacks an option out wide with cover behind due to the three centre halves. Would we all have picked the six defenders? No but worth admitting that rather OConnell in midfield than Morley right now.
The frustration returns when you think of all the missed opportunities to try it previously as games came and went. That’s why we are suddenly in danger of being multiple points from safety, not tonight.

Think O’Connell has been loads better in the games in midfield than he has been in defence for most of the season. Grant looks much brighter too.

Rum's already been posted, do keep up
0-0 at HT & perhaps a Tad ( caster) unlucky not to be 1 ahead. can't remember the last time we actually played better than the opposition for a half and definitely a chance of getting something tonight.

Better half from Dale...not good, but a bit better.
Matt Done's best showing since...errr contract time last season.
Roberts and Osho doing well...Keohane and Shaughnessy less so (apart from some headed flick ons from the latter)
Humphreys should have scored.
Not sure why Humphrys tried to slide it in - if he stays on his feet he scores. A lot better tonight but that might be to do with Shrewsbury too. Just need a lucky break infront of goal this half - and no stupid mistakes. Come on Dale.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
Decent first half tactics seem to be working but we could be caught on the break.
We've been 'short' of someone to do the dirty work for Humphrys for weeks and Matty Done only gets his opportunity now!
Second half will be interesting I'd like to see Baah come on for Grant at some point in that free role he should have more opportunities to get on the ball and run at them.

There it is 🙈
Not over by any means but that must be demoralising for the lads.
The goalkeeping situation has cost us at least 5 points too.
At a rough guess.
Whatever happens, can we go back to having our own keeper again? They don’t have to be anything special, but competent enough with experience of lower league football.

Never rated our goalie, send him back and play without one ...ha
