Week 11 Results DERBY 2 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 0 Derby make it five unbeaten, as they beat 10-man Wednesday. There were 2 (BFG and TheHappyGooner) who got this spot-on, and a further 14 had the outcome, with 11 going for a 2-1, in what was the weeks most predicted result. MIDDLESBROUGH 0 CARDIFF 1 An 84th minute penalty moves Cardiff up to second. Again we have 2 (noah4x4 and gsy163) who had this spot-on, and another 7 got the outcome. GILLINGHAM 1 NORTHAMPTON 2 Northampton ended a nine-match winless run in all competitions with a crucial victory. Well done to OhOriOri for being the only one to predict this win, and he got it spot-on. There were 19 who predicted a win for Gillingham, with 9 going for a 2-0. ROCHDALE 1 BRISTOL ROVERS 0 Rochdale ended a five-game run without a win with this narrow victory. Well done to noah4x4 for being the only one to have this spot-on, but 8 did have the outcome. CREWE 0 ACCRINGTON 2 Two goals in the first 11 minutes win it for Accrington against 10-man Crewe. Nobody got this spot-on, though 13 did have he outcome. NEWPORT 1 MANSFIELD 1 Newport won the corner count 11-0, but have to settled for a point. The 1-1 draw is losing its popularity, and that is the case here. So well done Sector4 for being the only one to have this spot-on, and just 2 got the outcome. All six results were quite backable this week - even Northampton's "shock" win was against a team second from bottom - but it only produced seven 3 pointers. As I said above, the 1-1 draw is losing its popularity, with the eight so far this season only producing sixteen 3 pointers. Well down on previous seasons. Though this lack of support is justifiable, because if you had backed every game to finish 1-1 this season, it would have put you bottom of either league with just 29 points. There has not even been a 2-2 draw so far, to give an outcome. Back to this week, and there is one outstanding performer, that is noah4x4, who had the two 3 pointers as mentioned above, and two other outcomes, to give him an excellent weeks top scoring 8 points. The Happy Cup begins in two weeks time, and the draw for the groups, the first round of fixtures, and the rest of the competition details, can be found on the separate Happy Cup thread. In the Premier, that top scoring effort from noah4x4 enables him to regain the lead again, as he continues to produce his decent Division One form at the higher level. It has also given him a decent 5 point cushion. What was once a breakaway five at the top , had thrillseeker join it last week, and a solid week from Sector4, sees him latch on to it this week. It is now six weeks without a 3 pointer for mfb_cufc. The longest run without one by anybody in either division at the moment. In Division One, we also have a former leader gerry_us, regaining the top spot. The worst week of the season so far for Daniel, but he still holds on to the other automatic spot. The play-off positions remain the same, but a solid week from TheHappyGooner moved them to within a point of the play-offs. Incredibly eagledares now has less 3 pointers, and more outcomes than anybody in either league.
