Just back - two observations 20:30 - May 24 with 3286 viewsBlackCrowe

1. The flags on the seats was an utter masterstroke. Derby's end looked drab in comparison. What the two teams must have thought.

2. Whilst I slated it at the time, the substitution to bring Henry on was utter genius. We were getting swamped and it was only a matter of time before they scored. We were then able to rear guard (fantastically well) and soak it all up until they ran of ideas and puff (which they did) and sucker punch them.

Genius on both counts.

Utterly luscious.

I know some people thought giving flags out was a bit cheesy but seeing the sight of blue and white flags being waved by 40k fans (OK 10k) was immense !

There wasn't one on my seat in Block 216. I assume someone half-inched it before I got there.

Friend of mine was one of the volunteers putting the flags out at wembley yesterday, the qpr team arrived during this and had a laugh and a joke with the volunteers and seemed very relaxed, shortly after qpr had left the derby team arrived, whilst the players didn't really pay any attention mcclaren came over and walked around closely to see what was going on, my mate said he came across looking quite nervous.

I waved that bastard flag like a mo fo! So did everyone else I could see and it looked great! It also made me laugh that the announcers made a point if it in the pre match mc'ing.

A master stroke indeed - mine fluttered out of the car window all the way down the M3.

I got in the ground early and I noticed there were loads Of missing flags in club Wembley level 2 seats. I think they must've run out of them. Cheapskates!!!

I thought it looked absolutely superb also.

I think we'd all agree, there's nothing worse than running out of puff.

I've got the Power.
