| News Comment | Saints Looking For Fans To Have A Safe Afternoon In The Itchen North at 22:41:11
ItchenNorth, glad to hear it. The stewards went wrong in the friendly game throwing people out for standing. Let people enjoy the game with passion, and only intervene if it's getting so tense, violence is likely to happen. Interestingly, it looked almost full in the Itchen North, so quite a lot of season ticket holders there? |

I agree Jameslastfan. Just put the lid in your pocket when you walk in. They do all this, and you could still throw a coin or.anything else. Those who want to misbehave will still do so. The other 99.9 % have to go through all this rubbish for nothing. |

Great performance once again. Well coached, well drilled, fit Saints team, benefitting from having a consistent manager. We were a joy to watch, with flowing moves with Armstrong, Romeu, Ward-Prowse a major part. Adams and Broja brilliant up front and Salisu once again a rock at the back. Good times. Long may it continue. How far up the table can we go? |
| News Comment | Southampton V Manchester United The Verdict at 21:25:00
I was at the game and I agree with your verdict. Saints weren't quite at the same top notch level as at Spurs but that was to be expected. We still played very well and got a point. I agree FF was man of the match. That save at the end was special and he earned us a point with that last minute save. I also agree that the team isn't the finished article yet, it is missing that little bit of magic or something, but as you say, let's see what happens in the summer transfer market. Overall, a great week for Saints and let's see how high we can finish in the league. |
| News Comment | Who Was To Blame For The Turnstile Fiasco At St Mary's ! at 15:32:28
And Nick, why haven't they given the ground a paint? One look up at the roof and you can see it crumbling! Cobwebs all over the seats, do they not have cleaners? The speakers still can't be heard in certain areas of the ground. Spending money on scanners that didn't need replacing anyway, whilst leaving the ground in a state of disrepair is again completely rediculous. And you are right, there could have been injuries or worse yesterday. As you say, why didn't they just manually check tickets? An easy answer it would have been, but again, is there not a manager to make a decision? It really is bad and needs sorting out, to prevent further embarrassment for the club. |

A good win and well needed. Agree about Salisu - he looks like a gem with massive potential. The team showed tonight how we can play and that Ralph must be given the summer and next season to turn things around. Ings also looked back tonight - good news. Up the Saints. |

I'm sorry but Long playing instead of Jankewitz tonight would have been better I'm sure. To send Vokins and Valery on loan when we have no spares is suicidal. Playing youngsters for the first time was disastrous and so it proved. VAR is terrible, terrible performance, we ha E injuries but two 9 nil defeats is totally unacceptable. I'm not sure it's all Ralph's fault. |
| News Comment | Liverpool Reject Southampton Loan Bid at 21:21:43
Letting Vokins go, without being certain of a replacement is very shabby, if this ends up being the case. One left back in the whole club? An injury crisis? And yet we leave it to the very last day of the transfer window to make some last minute attempts to get in some cover. This won't go down well, I don't think! |
| News Comment | Southampton FC Launch The Halo Effect at 09:57:29
Very impressed with Semmens and obviously Ralph. I do feel more "listened to" as a loyal fan by the leadership and would encourage this. Semmens speak honestly and in a more open tone, which fans appreciate. I have come round to the idea of achieving success "The Southampton Way". 72 million on Pepe or 50 million on Werner? No need. We can find top players like Diallo, Armstrong, Adams for much less. With that in mind, the recruitment is suddenly looking brilliant under this regime. I also strongly agree with bringing through young players from the academy and we have the right manager in place to do this successfully. Ultimately, most fans just want to see a team competing on the pitch. Nobody expects us to win the league, but let's give it a really good go, and as always at Southampton, we want to see players giving their all and trying to achieve success for their club and fans. Things are certainly looking positive for the immediate future. |

Totally agree Nick. This is a great verdict. This is indeed pride and all Saints fans are proud. There is nothing at all to be negative about. We have a wonderful manager, a competitive team and great spirit. And a word for the young players who came on - Tella, Ndulunu, Valery - they did themselves proud. They are the future. Amazing night for the Saints. |
| News Comment | Saints Fans Can Now Literally Drink The Pitch ! at 15:28:18
Not April fools, you can buy this on the website, just had a look! Probably an excellent way to make money to be fair. Most people like a drink, with a bit of Saints pitch I fused into it for flavour. |
| News Comment | Saints V Everton The Verdict at 17:15:06
Yep, great performance all round. Very satisfying. Adams, Ings, Armstrong, Redmond looks cracking with Theo still to come in. Ves is showing why Leicester were linked with him, as he for me, is looking like a Fonte type player at the moment. Diallo looks class and can't wait to see more of him. 3 points off the top the league. Up the Saints! |
| News Comment | Walcott Set To Undergo Medical at 17:31:21
ElijahK, like who? I would rather we bought Rodriguez, De Bruyne, or even Ollie Watkins for 28 million but we know we can't with Gao. So Walcott is signing by the looks of it, so you slag him off, that is up to you but I am going to give him a chance and welcome him to our club. |
