Oxford United v Swansea City : Match day thread on 10:07 - Nov 3 by sons_of_omri | If we could clone Franco twice we’d have the best midfield in the championship bar none. When people continuously laud Grimes (though he was probably at his best yesterday) I wonder what the hell theyre looking at when next to him there’s a proper quality ball winner, ball player and midfield general all in one. |
Bear in mind Franco had had quite a knock and training was limited You’d never think so Very unusual for a Portuguese to be so warrior like No offence

Oxford United v Swansea City : Match day thread on 14:06 - Nov 3 by Legend83 | I don't think we can have it both ways with him though? For me he is never an impact sub as he doesn't have enough in his locker to create something out of nothing. I think he's got fitter and sharper and now getting involved more / scoring because he's getting a run of games and playing plenty of minutes. |
I don’t think he’s an impact sub. I just don’t think he’s ready to be a championship centre forward yet. He hasn’t had the luxury of being bedded in. His fitness is improving, I’m not sure about his sharpness, he’s second to everything. I just don’t think he reads play very well yet. He did for his goal in fairness. Initially I thought he should have bust a gut to get in front of the defender and take him out of the equation. Having watched it back though, it happens so quickly he didn’t have time.

Cullen was excellent when he came on. Great to hear some retro chants in the away end around some of our legends. And also good to see Leon Britton in the away end with the fans. An enjoyable day!

Oxford United v Swansea City : Match day thread on 11:56 - Nov 3 by Whiterockin | We were 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go. We haven't conceded 2 goals in a league match all season. With another game on Tuesday Williams took a calculated risk that paid off. Personally I don't look for problems that are not there. Sometimes we over analyse games. |
We shall see, has William started Allen both on a Saturday and the following midweek game? Perhaps he a little more match fit so can start with another 50 or so minutes. This league is so tight a good run can get us into the play off positions not going to consider a bad one especially with the settled back line and goalie.

Shame he was backed, shame our stupid board are on the fence with Cabango and Darling , words fail me to be fair Never going to get anywhere with this *lets just sack the manager* BS Luke is quality and can with the tiniest bit of backing get this club back in the PL , i see the highlights all the time and they are all a marginal loss The players play their ass off for him, never stop running , you would be a monumental fool to sack Luke If and a big if in January they bring in 2/3 quality players we will walk top six, scoff and laugh all you like , i am being serious A brick wall defense and a tiny bit more strike power and we are right up there

All games lost have been by the odd goal. Turn that around and he’s got the formula for success. That’s how close it is. A few in when January kicks off as Coleman stated to fans yesterday in a service station on the way back from Oxford, and we can really kick on.

We've already got the players to do better than we have been. Yes, adding depth will be a big bonus, but there's no real excuses for the kind of misuse that we've witnessed so far this season. Williams waking the hell up to what he has is just as important as more acquisitions.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

I wouldn't believe a word he says, he's a puppet. Btw did he have his son with him as protection?
Oxford United v Swansea City : Match day thread on 23:09 - Nov 3 with 597 views | Fireboy2 | No matter what some people say about williams, he's doing a fine job with tools at his disposal. As I've said many times we need a paterson type attacking midfielder and another striker, get those two, get a few players back from injury, our bench won't weaken us in the second half as it normally has this season and we could go on a run But no matter what the puppet said to the loyal at the service station, our squad will probably get weakened not strengthened in January, which is a damn shame as we are that close to being a really good team that could push for promotion.

Oxford United v Swansea City : Match day thread on 09:28 - Nov 4 with 445 views | onehunglow | We got on the front front from the start and quit faffing about . Result smacked you on the face l The players are ( almost) there for us to have a decent season. We need a striker for sure but can utilise what we have better but we are an unbalanced squad ,stupidly so. We have employed yet another defender when we are parsimonious in attitude .Doesnt make sense . This is a very mediocre league which is very very level apart from about a few clubs and even they aren’t exactly great . What upsets us all undoubtably is the lack of ambition and ,more importantly, vision .

The usual disrespectful stuff from you. Why not give him a chance to prove himself?. Every one deserves a chance even Americans. If you ask Levien about Cabango and Darlinh he will refer you to Coleman, This is his business not Levien's. Everyone is called 'a puppet' unless they buy you a pint on an away trip and are called Trevor Birch. It was perceived he was his own man for some reason. He never complained about interference. The club has a plan. Strong recruitment of young players and using the academy. Some young players appear to have bombed. Ntoe and Kuharevych. Both have time to improve. Others are flourishing Eom, Key, Tymon, Franco for example. Bianchini and Vipotnik did well enough t offer encouragement of better times ahead. A new head of football with a bit more about him than Wtason is needed. Watson apologised to some 'no name' about sitting with his friend. Probably the pillock from the useless 'Alliance' .

And he’s done a cracking job with Cabango and Darling hasn’t he? Two of our most saleable assets looking set to walk at the end of the season with no replacements waiting in the wings. Take a bow Andy.

And to add, no transfer fee if they do leave at the end of the season. Well done Andy and special mention to your best mate, Ken the invisible man 👏👏👏 [Post edited 4 Nov 18:52]
