Looking at this from afar I am wondering what's going on? Maybe explains why remainer May hasn't done anything since the referendum result, expecting this outcome?

The reason I shared the story of my daughters history class is that those who know her will know she is the most caring, timid, care free kid going, her 3 best friends are from polish, African and Jamaican backgrounds , for her to be singled out as a racist for what happened hundreds of years ago, pretty much cut her up , that's why told the story , to show racism works in all different ways its got naff all to do with me going on an anti white racist crusade as you like to make out or me playing the victim , those kids were acting up without knowing there history, even her best mate said that and yes she is black
yet again Danny your making silly accusations based on your own opinion

as for jo cox which you seem to like bringing up , I will say again no one knows the facts
not every loon with a knife who shouts allah Akbar is in ISIS or are even Muslim , so lets wait for the facts shall we before you go around making your mind up

as for people being beat up for the colour of their skin you seem to think I condone that ? I don't I hate all violence, half of the stuff I see is cowardly with groups picking on say 1 or 2 individuals , it doesn't matter if your Asian, White, black , pink or whatever there is no reason for racist abuse ,
BTW you still haven't condemned the woman who said brexit voters kids should get a serious illness , you don't think that's a terrible view to have ?

I know you have this picture of a me as someone who is a foaming at the mouth rabid EDL supporter with a pair of Nazi jack boots in the shoe cupboard
but you couldn't be any more wrong if you wanted to be

We're getting nowhere with this.

You wanted to see a post of yours about anti-white racism, as if you'd never made one. But you did make one, and I dug it out for you as you requested.

And yet again, here you are talking as if white English people are as much of the victims of racism in this country as anyone else. Except they aren't. It's Alice in Wonderland pretending otherwise.

Look on this one thread and you've got someone saying they hope a woman who spent yesterday getting death threats for helping initiate a legal process should "face the consequences" (which the person concerned is clearly too dickless to come back and defend), and one long-established fruit loop talking about "booting out the Eastern Europeans."

But for someone so committed to peaceful co-existence and harmony between the races, you say nish. Nada.

I didn't see Question Time, but that's a stupid, ugly thing to say. It sounds like a woefully badly put, overly emotional attempt to articulate something real, which is that the underfunded, half-privatised NHS has been kept functioning for a long time by many of the same people who Brexit (and yes, quite possibly the occasional Brexit voter in person) has now made feel unwanted and unwelcome.

Which however poorly it's expressed, is a point of view I've got more sympathy with than "Death to Traitors, Freedom for Britain." And also crucially, no-one actually died this time.

We're going in circles about the murder of Jo Cox. I think your refusal to call it for what it is is does you no credit.

And one last thing. Lots of us have got kids, and they're going to be dealing with the fall-out of this short-sighted, xenophobic bullsht for years to come. Be interesting to see how many of them thank us for it.

That's me done on this conversation.

Jeez Louise, what a circus this has become.

I think Cameron has fked up big time. Since circa 2008 and the credit crunch tensions have been high all the while people are losing jobs, not getting pay rises, NHS suffering, 999 services suffering, issues with housing (public & private), schooling, concerns over immigration, asylum and so on.

It seems very much to me people have used the referendum to 'voice' their concerns, a protest vote if you like, which was the wrong platform to do so if that's what they did.

Effectively an answer has been given but not to the question that was asked which has now left us in this utter mess.

I've calmed down now and will soon be off to the pub.

I obviously don't want her physically attacked. I hope via social media though she know knows how many millions of people she's angered.

Parliament voted 6-1 for the referendum. We had it, a result was forthcoming and should be acted upon.

And it will be. But legally the 'how' must be debated in parliament first. Which is only sensible and quite a key part of our democracy. The fact that The Sun, Mail, Express and Telegraph have generated this much debate and, to use one of their fave words 'fury' over something so simple, and made it personal, as if judges are not simply ruling on the law, is worrying. Their influence reaches deeper than I thought. Perhaps Rupe could get Leni Riefenstahl to make a film about it all.

Bare bones.

Wherever its black on white, white on black, Asian on black or whatever , racism is racism, the post I shared was my daughters account , something that really upset her
because you couldn't meet a more liberal kid , I highlighted it because nothing was done about it , its not a crusade on my behalf because if it was we would have been both down the school bringing it up with the head teacher
we didn't, we agreed that if those kids disrupted the class with that behaviour again she should go to her teacher and report it
if it were down to me everyone would get on and interrogate into society , we are lucky to be living in such a great country that we do , unfortunately some people want to cause mischief and unrest and that's whites, blacks, & Asians even you have to admit that

now Metallica's post wasn't thought out at all if he doesn't come out and defend what he says its tough to speak up for him but on the other hand im being called a jingoistic little Englander by FDC which is why I have carried on this debate and given what I think are reasoned arguments without going OTT
on other threads I think you had jigsore threating to punch Michael gove in the face if he saw him at rangers , I don't recall him either being taken to task

as for jo cox, the bloke who murdered her seems imo a bit of a fruit loop who has a lot of issues , a bit like the loon shouting allah Akbar & who stabbed the fella in the neck at I think leyton station , do I think personally he was involved in any Britain first movement (btw never heard of them) No, the same as the bloke who stabbed the guy in the neck is anyway involved with ISIS
both need locking up and the key thrown away

you talk about fall out with our kids well personally speaking I don't think the majority of kids give a damn , I see my daughters mates come and go out of my house and the majority of them are from different ethnic backgrounds , they couldn't give a monkeys about anyone's skin colour or where they are from , they are happy go lucky kids
its the rest of society who seems to have problems getting on

at the end of the day we are arguing about someone who is an elitist opportunist who is millionaire due to her husband being a hedge fund manager and a dodgy looking chuckle brother look a like who is a millionaire second hand car dealer who are not taking this fight up for you me or the kids of tomorrow but for there own selfish gains

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

There wasn't much scouring involved, Clive. I went in the paper shop and there, on the front page of the two papers with the biggest circulation in the country, were two whopping headlines informing me that I should be outraged that (a) a British court understood British law and (b) some liberty taking foreign born - foreign born - successful business person had had the affront to seek to prevent our government from circumventing British law. I now know that our independent judiciary - the elite bastards who understand British law - are in fact the enemies of the people. It's been educational.

I have totally accepted Brexit; I think it's a farce given it means 100 different things to 100 different people, I think the Leave campaign was an enormous con etc, but brexit will be enacted and hopefully the consequences won't be as bad as I fear. Even Gina Miller has stated that her wish was never to derail Brexit, rather to have our government follow the quant old tradition of not just repealing/introducing laws without parliament's involvement. I'd suggest it's those outraged at a British court recognising the sovereignty of Parliament who might need to go for a wee lie down.

As already said, the Mail is hugely well read - 1.6 m readers for the printed version alone, terrifyingly. Given you spend a lot of time on here mentioning that you're in the majority and people who disagree with you are in the minority, you're obviously aware of the clout of numbers.

And the front page of any paper has a particular power, even in these times of digital media. It means whatever it says is going to seen not just by its own readers, but by anyone walking by a newsagent, a railway station, sitting on a bus or a train. A front page becomes part of the everyday landscape. People are exposed to it whether they choose to be or not. It reaches everyone.

So when it says three judges are the "enemies of the people" in the kind of tinderbox atmosphere we already have in Britain today, the editors there are wielding a huge amount of power, and will know exactly what they're doing with it. As, I suspect, do you.

how can you deny a tinderbox atmosphere when all the tabloids front pages today (and probably all the others) are actively stoking the fire.

those things are even remotely comparable and you know it. just out of interest what is Mr. Farage's preferred title? Concerned patriot? Trump lackey? Grandmaster?

I seem to remember there was plenty of adverse reaction to that advert, and quite bloody rightly so.

Very interesting on Question Time last night to see everybody debating the issues in such a detached way, though it's indicative of the fact that brexit and its effects - both direct and indirect - have not kicked in at all yet for the man and woman on the street.

With food inflation set to hit 4%+ in the next year, I'm betting on a few of the hungry ones to start making it onto the QT audience before the end of 2017. It will be interesting to see who they blame for their plight.
