JCS - player of season…so far
at 12:46 18 Feb 2024

Never thought I’d say it, as he seemed just another one that was bordering on taking the piss out of the club.

But, this season, he’s shown the player he is. Commanding at the back, with an eye for a pass and an even better reader of the game than I ever game him credit for.

Even something as simple as a perfectly timed little nick yesterday sent us on our way for the only goal.

He looks a great influence on the boys too, regularly calling out both good and bad moments. His form over the last couple of months has been so consistently high.

The surprise story of the season. Bound to get injured now.

Willock - Last Night
at 10:19 20 Sep 2023

I found it quite sad watching Willock last night. I didn't see a lack of effort, just a player that looked completely bereft of anything. Maybe we haven't realised what the injuries have done to him. He didn't want to take a player on, couldn't find that slight burst of speed when turning to take him away from the tackle, Just looked completely lost, sad to see.

Don't know if others think the same, I hope it's confidence. But, maybe he'll never be close to being the same player again, whether that's with us or somewhere else next season.

Really? Why does this guy get a pass (maybe move him into midfield is what I’ve heard recently)

He won’t close down, gets caught out of possession continuously, portrays the mannerisms of someone who couldn’t give a flying fk. I just don’t get it.

5 Years of utter ineptitude
at 13:02 6 Nov 2016

Sack the manager, change the team, do what you want. The biggest problem at the football club is still here - Tony F.

After taking over, his first tweet as chairman I think was something along the lines of "so QPR fans, who should we buy?" and he then set about re-tweeting any and every suggestion that came in. The alarm bells rang immediately. A couple of days after that we spunked around 250k per week on some of the worst signings in the clubs history.

Then the sacking of Warnock and a summer transfer window that made us the laughing stock of football. Millions wasted, no strategy, no plan. Utter madness.

Bringing wheeler dealer Arry in, who presided over a 12.5 million and 125k a week centre half in his first transfer window and Federico Macheda.

Giving Redknapp another year after the play off win, the same Redknapp who said he'd spent the last 10 minutes of that match deciding which golf club to become a member of the next season.

Sacking Arry, finding his dream manager then deciding that someone called Chris Ramsay was the best person for the job after a one game "Redknapp gone" bounce at Sunderland.

Sticking with Ramsay after an awful run to relegation, then sacking him, after deciding that mid-table mediocrity with a mediocre mid table side wasn't good enough.

On to now, for me Hasselbaink was a good appointment but it's gone wrong again. I think JFH needed some experienced help on the coaching side. He inherited a well oiled machine at Burton, where the cogs needed turning. Here it was very different, and if the McLaren rumours were true a few months ago, it's a shame it didn't work out.

The sooner Tony goes the better. Yes, his heart may be in the right place but his head is up his arse. I can't think of a club that's been run as badly for so long. You can talk about Blackburn and Leeds, it's close, but I think we nick it on the fact that hundreds of millions of pounds have been wasted. Thank god for Les off the pitch, who I think has helped turn us slightly back to where we should be.

I don't think we'll appoint Sherwood, as there are too many people against it. We'll probably finally get his dream manager, as long as he's here though I can't see anything changing.

I just really hope we pick someone who has a clear way of playing and an attacking strategy. There are plenty out there. Southampton have found a few, so have Fulham and Brentford even! But, we haven't had a process on any manager picked, which brings me back to my original point.

On way home

Decent performance that. Sandro and faurlin bossed the midfield. Faurlin in particular was superb. If Charlie had played first half he'd have bagged two as we had a couple of superb crosses begging to be put away by someone in the middle.

Once Charlie and chery came on the team looked balanced throughout for the first time in about 2 seasons. Poor decision making in the final third and Phillips having a brain freeze for the last ten mins stopped it from being more.

Well done petrasso too on a solid performance. Looked willing to try things throughout and will have taken a lot from that.

How about doing this properly this time?
at 22:27 4 Nov 2015

Like, perhaps, an interview process. Which may, or not, include second interviews? Take the time. Warnock until the end of the season will be fine, if it has to be that way. Who knows who might become available as time goes on?

Only free viable candidate at the moment is Pearson in everyone's mind, but the likes of Burnley, Watford (Jokanovic), Norwich, Swansea are four teams on a similar level to us who have made superb appointments, which weren't exactly the obvious ones at the time. Admittedly they didn't have a completely barmy boardroom making the appointment.

Up to Les and Lee Hoos now. Stay out of it, Tony!!!

Motivation - Again
at 21:56 25 Sep 2015

I've watched us time and again under Ramsay start as flat as a witches tit. How can 11 players turn up for a local derby and not commit a foul (a proper foul) for the first thirty minutes.
After the West Ham game last season I was gobsmacked that we started, and continued, throughout a must win game like we were in a coma.

This is a big moment for the club. He's obviously lost a few players, and now lost the fans. Will anyone have the balls to make a major decision. I'm all for stability, but he's had long enough. The results are poor, the tactics are shocking, the motivation is non existent. If you look at the teams who've been promoted from the championship over the past five seasons, nearly all have had a motivator behind them.

Forget tactics, motivating a team is Ramsey's biggest fault. Please, whoever it is, make the decision sooner rather than later. With this squad, I've no doubt we could still be top 6

Excited about tomorrow
at 16:12 7 Aug 2015

The last 5 seasons have been bonkers. Champions, staying up last day, relegation, play off, relegation.

But, I haven't been as excited about the start of the season since we won the league. The reason being I haven't a clue what to expect. At the start of every season post Championship win I've had a fair idea and only the season we won the play offs was I wrong.

I look at the favourites for the title and then see they've lost two of their best players from last season Boro (Tomlin and Bamford), Hull (Brady and Chester), Burnley (Ings and Trippier) and there seems no reason to me why we can't do very well.

Perhaps Chery will be 2011 Taarabt, Lluongo - Derry, Polter - Helguson along with Mackie - Mackie and Faurlin - Faurlin.

Here's hoping anyway. I'll return at 5pm tomorrow to take it all back.

In the premier league

Johnson v Norwich - a pathetic headbutt after a nothing incident
Tevez V Man City - a pathetic retaliation after a nothing incident
Huddlestone v hull - a pathetic punch after a nothing incident

Can not wait until this scrote is out of the club.

Anyone else in the home stands last night???
at 19:26 3 Jan 2013

What an incredible evening to be amongst the scum.

Had to dip my head when we scored to let out some sort of alien like growl.

And then screamed out loud when their header went over at the end. Utter pain. Probably gave the game away at the end, when I started taking pictures of the celebrations.

How did everyone else cope that was amongst them?
