Isn't that what happened with Keith Hill and Barnsley and how did that turn out. |

After today, plan the alternative games to go to. Got as far as Warrington before we heard the news so diverted to Altrincham - Droylesden. Watched a few ex Dale players on show for both sides, a feisty local derby and plenty of goals. Might even go to the return fixture on New Years day. |
| News Comment | Defender Balkestein to join on loan at 21:58:19
When are we going to to sign someone up front. Even before the sale of COG, this was the area we were missing someone and now it even more obvious, we need a target man. JLAA, even after his displays so far, is not the person to aim for as he is better running at people and we need someone that Ashley Grimes can feed off. |

The type of player we missed last year (like Dagnell or Le Fondre) and think he will be ideal for COG. |
| News Comment | Eyre Force One at 21:04:58
From what I hear, he is part of an excellent team from City's youth management and could be be good for bringing through youngsters and using contacts to bring in players who could do a job at our level. Let's see. |
| News Comment | Keith Hill: 4 years 5 months 16 days at 21:04:34
Excellent write up Col, well done. In case I have missed it somewhere, has it actually been announced who has gone beside Hilly & Flicker? |
| News Comment | Hill: yes to Barnsley at 22:24:36
If true, very disappointed in the way he has conducted everything. Don't know who he will take with him beside Flicker but like to see Chris Beech and Tony Ellis be given a chance after the job they have done with the reserves and junors. |
| News Comment | Dale v Saints postponed at 11:25:10
Another game called off too early! Southampton fans would have set off and it just makes us look like a little club that can't cope. Can't believe that if it had been left until at least midday, it would have been obvious that the weather was improving and that the ground staff could have got it on. Whats happened to the excellent drainage that seemed to work not long ago? Having watched the FL show, it surely can't have been as bad as loads of pitches where games went ahead. Club also loses out on revenue from the crowd as won't get half as many Southampton supporters (and Dale fans) on a Tuesday night. |
| News Comment | Dale request Lillis extension at 18:20:24
The only issue with him is a tendancy to go to ground too early when in a one on one situation instead of 'staying big'. Needs to cut that out as he's a good shot stopper. |
