I'm not just people dont actually get it and have to have it repeated to them as they dont listen the first time around i dont like being on benefits as much as the next person but its gotta be done so i can live i would love to have my dream job as a Sports Journalist or a Football Photographer but lifes just not that easy |

If Tazzy chooses to budget some of his £90 per week on going to Dale away matches, and forgoes other 'luxuries' then good on him. If you are working but think you can't afford to go to away matches then it's because you choose to spend your money on other things, and have different priorities. Which is fair enough.

Tazzy, I have two young people writing for TVOS this year, one of whom did so as he wants to be a sports journalist and decided it was a good way to get some experience and build up his CV/portfolio.
They took the initiative and contacted me about this last June.

You are missing the key points. He is not paying for it, people who work are. He then has the audacity to go on at these same individuals for not attending reserve team games and Charlton away (the two most recent examples).
If it wasn't for people working and our generous benefit system he would not be able to attend any games. Some people benefits being paid in food and clothing vouchers!

Tazzy have you tried doing volunteer work? Mattydubz offered a good post on the previous page. Like him I graduated from uni a few years ago and I haven't been in my preferred jobs since. My dream job (even though I know I'm good enough to do it) is one of the hardest in the world to get into but I'm not sitting about feeling sorry for myself.
Trust me, if you do eventually get an interview for your dream job an employer will look upon you MUCH more favourably if you've been doing jobs (in whatever area, voluntary or otherwsie) in that time rather than waiting for your perfect job to come along. |  | | |
