Seeing as Monday is a “recovery day!” 10:53 - Aug 21 with 10368 viewsBarrowdale

They can spend it watching that first goal over and over again til they get it through their thick heads that we cant pss around like we’re PSG in a training game.

For christ’s sake stop this utter stupidity!

I would be interested to see our running stats.... footballers need to be able to run between 5 and 10Km per game, obviously central defenders run less than wing-bacs and midfielders and forwards around 8-10 km depending on the type of player. The secret is in aerobic capacity, a person needs to be running 40-60Km a week to get noticeable aerobic improvements. the size of the pitch being trained on has little to no effect, distance covered is the key. There may also be some advantages in training on a smaller pitch as decisions will need to be made quicker. Also, at the moment they can use the COA pitch for sessions until the weather gets worse
Redbrook may not be ideal but what it lacks in facilities may be compensated for by being close to the Ground and having good parking and relatively easy access from the motorway. There is also some space to expand changing facilities. A better fence would probably be welcomed and there is room for a 3G pitch if anyone has £650k to spare!
FWIW I recall the '68 squad doing their pre-season at Springfield Park utilising the pitch and track on the top of the Park!

The way things have gone so far ,I think it fair to assume that every day between games needs to be deemed a recover day for fans!!!!

So Monday is a recovery day after a Saturday afternoon fixture, but Thursday afternoon is a training day after a Tuesday night fixture?

EBJ and BN look like they aren't going to tolerate <100% effort.

Quite a physically imposing pair.

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!
Poll: Is it coming home?
