Standing on a terrace in the rain 22:15 - Jan 5 with 6011 viewsThe_Beast1976

Anyone remember when this was a regular occurrence? Remember getting absolutely soaked in the corner pen of the terrace at Palace away in the early 90s. Finished 2-2 I think. Great times

think the game was either January or February.

We played them a year or so earlier around christmas and won

Maybe that was the game I remember then.

The Swindon away end bogs urinal was an upside down length of 150mm guttering I'm not even sure it was installed to falls.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Chesterfield away for sure. With just a bit of a brick wall for the pissér.

I remember a night game at Swindon where it absolutely pisséd it down on the way there and back bu actually held off for the game. Driving back I nearly shat myself, you could barely see a couple of yards ahead on the motorway.

Coldest I've ever been was when I followed Fulham Rugby League team. Went to a night game in November and froze in the home end as the wind whipped in of the Thames, drinking boiling hot Bovril's as though they were like warm.

Routledge scores and you forget about the rain !

Apart from the weather, that Blackpool match was a great night.
Routledge's first game for us I think.

There must have been something about our visits to Blackpool in those days.

It was definitely freezing in the temporary seats in January 2004 when Martin Rowlands scored the only goal. Luckily the rain had stopped but left pools of water for your feet to rest in!

I always regard this game as Chris Day day! He was unbeatable & deserved a 10.
