| Forum Thread | This was once a great messageboard. at 19:31 4 Dec 2012
I've not been on here for a very long time & have made my first visit to the site in months. My initial reaction to the countless threads regarding the clubs current predicament in the league lead me to believe that I had accidentally stumbled onto the bury board! I thought I would just let you all know that we are 9th (NINTH!) in League 2, not far short of the play-offs. I think we all would of killed to see Rochdale in this position before the 'Hillcroft Era', I remember a lot of people posting at the end of last season saying we have to be realistic about this season & a top half finish would be a very good place to finish considering our budget and the amount of changes Coleman has had to make. He had to pretty much build a squad from scratch pre-season with very little money, I personally think he hasn't done a bad job so far & yes of course we could do with a few better players in certain positions but until January comes around we're stuck with what we've got I'm afraid. You all need to wake up and realise that this team is a work in progress & that we don't have the divine right to be walking this league. I'll be there on Saturday & I'll be getting behind the team, I hope I'm not alone. |
| Forum Thread | To the 225 who went to Hartlepool today & the rest who wasn't there. at 22:43 7 Jan 2012
I imagined today that I would be 1 fan in a crowd of about 85, to see so many of us there was superb. We were very vocal for large parts of the game and fully got behind the lads in full spirit. It was good to see that because the players are going to have to hear us in this relegation dog fight. Let's face it, we all now know that survival is a must for us right now. Nobody wants to go back to Accrington, no disrespect to Accrington but I much prefer visiting The Valley over the Crown Ground, we spent too much time in League 2 to simply just throw it away so easily. Last season we proved we deserved to compete with the likes of the massive Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton, Southampton & Huddersfield, it's too good to lose it all. So if we are going to stay up we need to start playing our parts as fans of this football club we all adore, we need to get vocal and get behind the lads on match day! Preferably starting on Saturday against an on form Stevenage side, who like us last year they are proving there a good prospect in this division, It's going to be no easy game at all. The team need to reproduce the sort of good play we saw against Preston and we need to rally together, help them get the result and an extremely vital 3 points for Chris Beech & Rochdale Football Club as a whole. Roll on next weekend, Up The Dale. |
| Forum Thread | A distraction from the league... at 13:24 27 Oct 2011
Who does everybody want us to draw int cup at the weekend? I'll start, anyone other than a non-league team. |

I love you, I always have and I always will. Nobody can take away the fact you are the greatest manager in this clubs history. Thanks for the memories. P.S Ignore the mongs having a go at you, they'll see sense eventually. |
| Forum Thread | A slight concern. at 15:12 30 May 2011
It's probably nothing but during all of this uncertainty surrounding Hill's future at the club, could it have a negative effect on the players? At this moment in time I should imagine they're all either on holiday or about to go on holiday but by the time they get back somebody new could be in charge. It's probably just me thinking over it too much but it does make sense, sort of. |

Can't find a thread about it but it's 1 year on since we beat Northampton 1-0 & clinched promotion. Now stop moaning and groaning you miserable sods, we'll never have it so good. |

Sacked by Newcastle. That fat oath didn't need another reason for the Newcastle faithful to hate him. |

Anybody else seen this? Thought he did quite well, I liked how he mention Taffy helped him be the goalkeeper he is today. |
