| Forum Thread | EFL'whole game solution' proposals - Have your say at 12:06 21 Sep 2016
The closing date is near where clubs must submit their thoughts on the radical proposals the EFL have put forward that will change our game forever regarding winter breaks, restructuring of the leagues into five divisions of 20 teams, regionalisation of the leagues and moving F.A cup rounds to midweek. The proposals have been met with hostility by many fans who feel it offers a backdoor for Prem 'B'teams to get into the EFL, some clubs have thought it wise to ask for feedback from fans so they can voice their collective opinion when responding to the EFL. When all clubs have replied, the 'whole game solution' will be top of the agenda to be discussed at the EFL AGM in June 2017, with changes expected (if voted for) to come into effect at the start of the 2019/20 season For Dale fans who wish to have a voice on these radical changes below is a link to Walsall FC webpage (Walsall are one of the few clubs that have felt it right to consult with fans) there is a link at the bottom of webpage to enable fans to complete their short survey. So far they have had 600 fans respond. http://www.saddlers.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/600-responses-to-whole-game-solut Below is the EFL's glammed up 'whole game solution' manifesto article http://www.efl.com/news/article/2016/a-whole-game-solution-3119809.aspx Read what you will, think what you will, if we dont speak up things may never be the same again? |
| Forum Thread | The hypocrisy angers me Re: Student night tonight... at 10:48 19 Apr 2016
........the club adorn the website with adverts enticing the towns students to turn up at Spotland tonight and pay £1 to cheer their team on, the club appearing to be in touch with this core group of potential fans recognising their limited budgets sixth formers and apprentices survive on, and then in yesterdays Season Ticket news tell the same fans "If you want more you can have it but cough up prices of £296, £259, £222" deluded pricing for young people on no doubt min wage and meagre part time hours of work! http://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/article/student-night-watch-dale-for-just-1-30 |
| Forum Thread | Sandy Lane - new sign, thumbs up from me at 15:15 16 Jul 2015
Just drove past the ground and noticed a new large sign fixed to back of Sandy advertising the club, 'Team Rochdale' brand, cleverly done with a back image of a young flag waving fan, speaks out to your floating fan, pedestrian walking buy to buy a ticket for San Spotty. Good move, presume France's initiative? Thumbs up from me! |

| Forum Thread | Goal celebrations by Grimes at 10:59 29 Jan 2012
Out of interest when Grimes scored his first he made a point of cutting short his celebrations in front of the T.D.S and going over to main stand (nearest side to T.D.S) and posturing to fans - i couldn't see who this was aimed at but presuming it was a celebratory thing between family - or was it a signal to some fans that sit in that area that had maybe given gip in previous home games .........anyone sat in that area clarify ? |
