They’re not particularly a problem for me personally but I think these are potentially problematic because they can at least be interpreted as any criticism of Israel being a criticism of Jews generally. They conflate Jews and Israel/Israeli policy.
Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations. ï‚· Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor. ï‚· Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation. ï‚· Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.

I agree...
I would say that the claiming of a state of Israel is OK I guess, but robbing it by murdering and bulldozing other peoples homes and land definitely is a racist endeavour.
And again, yes I do draw comparisons with Israeli policy and the Nazis. I cannpt see how anyone couldn't draw comparisons?
So that makes me anti semitic? Wow!
edit...I am drawing comparisons with ISRAELI policy, not Jewish policy. Most Jews I've met are sound. None of them agree with Israeli policy either.

1) Those who accuse British Muslims of being more loyal to <insert Muslim nation name> are racist. The make the claim based specifically upon race. No difference. 2) There are (nominally) Christian nations, Muslim nations etc. None of those are told they should not exist, none of those are called "racist endeavours". 3) I don't think anyone could argue against this one. 4) There's zero comparison between the two. Those throwing it out tend to be intending harm.
There aren't Christian nations though. Or Muslim ones. You can be an Israeli citizen purely by being Jewish. That is all. Where does that happen anywhere else in the world?

Britain, Us etc are nominally Christian nations.
I don't think you get the idea tbh. You seem to be thinking Israel is only made up of Jews...
No, you cannot be an Israeli citizen purely by being Jewish. What did you get that idea?

And there are people who come across as anti semitic, but actually aren't. I am not anti semitic, but that IMH thingy reckons that I am. I do not hate Jews at all, but I do hate what they are doing in Israel. Those ones are kunts. Zionists or whatever. They are kunts. That doesn't make me anti semitic.
Whether anyone likes it or not the IHRA definition is recognised in this country. Even if someone doesn’t agree with it, if they post items on social media that contravene the definition then they run the risk of being labelled an anti-Semite.
If anyone wants to criticise policies of Israel, that is acceptable in the way that criticism of other countries policies, including our own, is acceptable. I would just advise anyone thinking of doing that to stick within the IHRA definition and examples to avoid problems.

I agree mate. I would get branded as an anti semite, however I know I am not, so I don't give a fuk
edit... "every Jew has the right to come to this country as an oleh [immigrant]." "On the day of arrival in Israel or at a later date, a person who enters Israel under the Law of Return as an oleh would receive a certificate stating that s/he is indeed an oleh. The oleh has three months to decide whether s/he wishes to become a citizen and can renounce citizenship during this time. The right to an oleh certificate may be denied if the person is engaged in activity directed against the Jewish people, endangers public health or security of the state, or who has a criminal past that may endanger public welfare."

You don't seem capable of grasping the point.
Jews can ( and do ) apply. Non-Jews can ( and do ) also apply
That doesn't mean it gets rubber stamped, applications can and do get rejected.
Is it possible to explain it even simpler for you?
But it doesn't get denied if you are a Jew. It MAY get denied if "the person is engaged in activity directed against the Jewish people, endangers public health or security of the state, or who has a criminal past that may endanger public welfare."
Please note..."against the Jewish people". Not Israeli people. So they can be engaged in activity directed against an Israeli arab and will still get in hahahaha> Mental.

You reckon that anyone can just rock up in Israel and apply for citizenship? How the fuk would that work you bell? If they are not Jews they would be laughed at. You don't even have to have ever set foot in the country, ever! As long as one of your grandparents is practicing the religion of Judaism, you are able to become a citizen of Israel!

* bangs head *
Provide evidence "it doesn't get denied if you are a Jew".
That first line you cite funnily enough is used to block violent anti-semites. Well, duh.
Please note. "endangers public health". Please note... "endanger public welfare". Neither mention Jews. Awkward.

Israel is a Jewish nation with many non-Jews welcome. Druze etc play a vital part if Israeli life which is why Hamas, when engaging suicide bombers, targeted hospitals and universities, when integration was widespread.
Hey ho.

Hey ho.
Do you honestly reckon that Abramovic would stand the same chance of being accepted as a citizen if he was an arab? Or any other religion other than Judaism for that matter?

It's a beautiful country, oddly it was mentioned earlier in this thread about the influence of the media, two way street because anyone who has been there will see a real diverse population, not the bullshit rhetoric of the mainstream media. Honestly, if anyone hasn't been there do it, it's an eye opener. For many positive reasons.

The Eithiopian Jews got in. Then they became the victims of racism from their “brother Jews”. They should thank their lucky stars they’re not Palestinians!

Around 20-30k emigrate to Israel every year. Not all of those are Jewish.
You seem to labour under the misapprehension only Jews live in Israel.
Israel is a melting pot, with people of every religion living there and indeed LGBTQ rights are above and beyond any other middle eastern state.

Indeed but I doubt that many would care because, well, da Jooz.

You're talking crap.
"In 1999, the Supreme Court of Israel ruled that Jews or the descendants of Jews that actively practice a religion other than Judaism are not entitled to immigrate to Israel as they would no longer be considered Jews under the Law of Return, irrespective of their status under Halakah."

That refers to under the law of return. A specific case, specific subset of immigration law.
Like it or not the situation is fairly simple.
Jews applying have a very high chance of being accepted - it's not however guaranteed. Non-Jews are free to apply to move to Israel. Don't have as high a "guarantee" as Jews but can still be accepted.
That's why Israel is a Jewish state in the same way as the UK is a nominal Christian state. Both are melting pots which people of all religions present.
It's ironic really that you're raising all this given commemoration of Farhud within the last week.

Yes, and the people I've met there regardless of their background arab, jew, christian, black, white etc. all want to live in peace and get on with life.
