Comparison with Wolves!
at 23:10 4 Feb 2014

I'm from W'ton but moved down here last year and have a ST at Swansea.
Hearing the news tonight and reading all about it I'm getting ominous feelings of deja vu.
Wolves sacked McCarthy in early February (8th?) in their 3rd Prem season with 14 games to go after a bad performance, following a generally poor season. With no replacement lined up the Chairman ended up appointing Terry Connor (MM's assistant) who did not win any of his last 14 games and Wolves were relegated.
What's even more scary is that I see Glen Hoddle is a candidate for the job. He was at Wolves before MM and he presided over 2 of the most boring seasons ever suffered by Wolves supporters - if you thought ML played tippy-tappy sideways football he learnt it all from GH!
This decision can go one of 2 ways - the new manager energises the players who rise to the challenge or like Wolves, the whole thing is a total FU and the team goes down. Let's hope and pray the former happens.

First Post - Big Congratulations Swansea City
at 20:12 5 Jan 2014

Having recently moved down here (with Welsh wife!) and supporting my local team I just wish to say big congratulations to everyone connected with Swansea City.
Results and performances like today don't come along very often and they must be savoured and enjoyed. You can support a club all your life and you never witness a win at places like Old Trafford. There's little better in football life than beating Man Utd.
Swansea City will be the envy of the football world right now and deserve all the praise it gets not just for the result but the way the club goes about its business and the way it plays on the pitch.
It was a priviledge to watch that performance this afternoon. Onwards and upwards.
