And what a fantastic few days. We beat Chelsea, salivating over the performances of our already brilliant young players in Lavia and Bella K, then we sign a load more players with huge potential. And we sign an experienced centre back. This is what we have wanted for years, right? Very exciting, all of a sudden.
This was just 3 weeks ago. I have plenty of other clips at many other PL grounds. Can't you see Saints fans are being targeted unfairly? Or are Semmens and Steele reacting differently? Why does Semmens accept this unfair treatment and not point our the unfairness? Why arn't you pointing it out Nick, look at the clip! There are plenty more!
I can post another clip of serious fighting going on at Anfield, West Ham, Everton, including racist abuse. Why are we being targeted?
Why can I walk freely around Spurs ground, Leicester ground, Old Trafford, Anfield, Arsenal, Palace, West Ham and not St Mary's where they have put walls and barriers in the north car park. It's not because their fans are better behaved, that's for sure. So why arn't the PL coming down hard on them, as your meeting with the safety officer suggested? You should have asked him, why can they all fight at other grounds and nothing is done there. The Saints fans are so vicious arn't they.
I know this is tedious, but again there were Man U fans walking into the ground freely, with their Man U shirts on. When they were pointed out in the stands, there was progress, as stewards did remove them, but why are they allowed to just walk in? The stewards are so dopy checking bags and not checking which fans are coming in.
So the solution - Firstly, any fan wearing away colours, just stop them at the gate! Stewards should be more aware, and turn them away!
Secondly, why an earth are fans allowed to buy tickets on the database who have attended a game over 10 years? In order to get a ticket against the top 6, fans should need to be on the database, and been to say 3 Saints games, last season. Make it tighter, make it more robust. So why won't they? Well it would probably cut out some income wouldn't it. I would rather a few empty seats, than away fans keep getting in.
And this is necessary, because I know for a fact, that away fans living within a 10 miles radius of St Mary's, buy a membership card, just so that they can go to watch one game, Liverpool, Man U or whoever they support from the top 4. This one game, meets the requirement of needing to have been to one Saints game in the last ten years and being on the database with a local postcode.
Anyone dreaming of a more competitive league, I would bet my house that the top 4 will again be Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, then one of Arsenal, Spurs, Man U.
Brighton won't stay there. Leeds will start dropping. Liverpool will be back in the top 4 in no time after their 9 nil win. Yes, it has equalled our record defeat, but these thrashings are becoming all too common. Many teams just making up the numbers, far inferior, getting thrashed. Palace had a go at City today, but City were too good in the end. It's a marathon, not a race, give it a few weeks and it will be the same teams in the top 6 positions - totally boring.
I remember this well, sat in the lower West stand. David Ellery as ref, Gullet under huge pressure, Hughes's goal, Shearer, Lindekvam, the pouring rain after the game.
He was referring to the physicality of that fiery game, with aggressive tackles and managers at each others throats. But ofcourse he is getting slated for saying it.
Ralph said tonight tongue in cheek, that Broja just stopped performing "suddenly". I know Ralph takes a lot of the blame, and rightly so, but Broja effectively downed tools, it can't be easy as a manager when players are like they are nowadays, just because their head is turned.
Saints fans are being very rude and offensive towards Leeds, Mancs, Geordies, Scousers, the referee and occasionally the Saints players. So as well as sitting in their seat at all times, we need to think of ways to react which are much less offensive.
So here goes "What a shame" "Oh dear" "That's not very nice" "What a nuisance" "My goodness me" "It's certainly not true" "What a disappointment" "Think carefully Ref"
